I think he's our next Jovocop really.

Perhaps we should start calling him "Gudcop"

Perhaps similar in stature and strength, andthe name has a good ring to it, but Jovocop and Gudcop have completely opposite play styles, on-ice deployment and locker room charisma.

Still... I wouldn't wanna fight either

A left-handed Juolevi and a right-handed Gudbranson.

A PMD/QB offensive d-man and a tough, reliable defensive defenseman.

Future pairing? I think they could make some good chemistry. Despite Juolevi's age, he's the kind of player to make his partner and the players on the ice better.

This. I didn't realize Gudbranson was a RH until now, but him and Juolevi would be the perfect pairing. Juolevi is a nice guy and not physical so he'll be a target. Gudbranson will make sure no one will touch him.

Also, Gudbranson for PP1 QB? In his junior years he was a PP QB and might be that big right-handed shot Hank his missed since Salo left.

Dorset must be happy. I have a felling he'll be much moire useful this season. Teams are going to start watching their backs.

It's not just Gudbrandson that will help Dorsett.  I really see Pedan on our fourth line.

I have high hopes for Pedan and lots of patience. He's seems to really want to learn from what I've picked up. There's so much negativity about this draft and JB stuck to his guns and kept building goal out. He bolstered the teams defense this weekend.

His counterparts in Edmonton might have added more offense but at this point have yet to upgrade their back end or defense.

This is a slow process even on high drive.

Getting a hold of Gudbranson early might have been one of JB best moves as the GM of the Canucks.

This entire draft he stuck to his guns.

Vancouver is going to be very hard to play against and they've not yet hit free agency!

The thing that excites me the most about Bennings moves is that he's acquired defencemen who can  be good all rounders, but more importantly are specialists. That's the way good defences opperate. They have one stud (Juolevi) then a bunch of guys paired together who complement each other well.

Gudbranson is a physical monster and shutdown guy, put him with a puck mover like Hutton and we've got a magic tandem. That's similar to the way the real top pairings work.

Yakupov for Horvat! Make it happen JB! Cause thats how it works right?

:picard: Wrong thread, wrong idea...im not even sure what such a sentence might suggest?

I love our new D. Erik brings a new element we have been lacking since Willie left. Except, he is younger and has an even bigger stick! Out are Weber, Bartowski,...... In are Tryamkin, Gudbranson. That's huge. Massive. A colossal move. It was a a tall order. A big change. They can skate, hit, and play hockey, and they are pretty damn good at it too!

Tanev - Edler

Hutton and Gudbranson

Juolevi and tramkin

Pedan - Larsson

Sbisa

Now that is looking like an awesome defense :)
