We have the Sedins at 36 year old and just shipped out two first round forward prospects. Not sure what we have left outside of Boeser (+Virtanen and Horvat) for the future forward core. Our D prospects aren't looking too great, this helps us long term. As for the Tkachuk convo, his points weren't his own, a lot of secondary assists, and speed is a serious concern. I don't care what our organisation need, when you have top 5 pick, you pick the best available, trade him for someone we need later if necessary. This is why we still haven't win the cup... Did you talk to the other gms and see of they were willing to make a reasonable offer for us to move down? In reality, if we wanted Juolevi, that leaves us 2-4 teams to make a deal with, assuming they want to move up a couple picks. Unless one of those teams really wanted tkachuk, and we're willing to give up an asset to get him over the other prospects, it's not gonna be easy to make a deal to move down.
