"Dylan has made exceptional progress and continues to make strides to being an elite centre in this league," said Coyotes general manager John Chayka in a press release. "At this point in time we felt it was best for his development to get him back playing in junior, but his future in the NHL is very bright." The 19-year-old is eligible to play for Canada's world junior team at this winter's tournament and should slot in as the No. 1 centre. On an Erie Otters team that featured Connor McDavid two seasons ago, Strome won the OHL scoring title with 129 points in 68 games. He added 111 more points (37 goals, 74 assists) in 56 contests last season. He'll step into a lineup that already boasts the OHL's two leading scorers in Taylor Raddysh and Alex DeBrincat. The Otters are currently ranked No. 2 in the CHL. Good news for team Canada I guess. Are coyotes at all worried about his development? That is the weakest line up in the league, strange to see him not on it. He could just be a late bloomer but it's strange considering what his peers around him are doing.. Kane CDC's Armchair GM section is very nearly that unreasonable. If Kane gets rapey and/or abusive again, you'll probably be able to get him for just the pick.
