Father Ryan
Would love to see both Boeser and Puillot in this one; sit Burmy and Hutton. Not that either one has been terrible, but both could get a chance for observation. Hutton's nonchalant give away last game, that led to the tying goal in the 3rd...that was unacceptable; no effort at all on that. Even just clearing that one around the boards would have prevented such an easy chance. 3-2 Vancouver; goals by Baer, Stetch and a shorty from Granlund. Bo & Boe get assists on Baer's goal. Laine gets both of their goals, we continue to drool over what could've been.

He did well enough in preseason games to deserve to get a chance at centering his own line and it makes for more balanced lines. Against a stronger team featuring a superstar like McDavid, I understand if Green combines Granlund or Eriksson with Sutter and Dorsett for defensive matchup. Against beatable teams, I would go with the Granlund centering his own line and maybe even put Virtanen on the 4th line and put Gagner with Eriksson and Granlund for better offensive output. In the meantime, Dorsett can mentor Virtanen like he mentored Bo. Virtanen this year has been the most explosive forward behind Granny. I if Granny can hold his on at center that line could be super dangerous. I don't know how many people have noticed but Virtanen's acceleration has improved immensely since year. His 0-60 is intense... just like Granlund.

Neko
Yes! You guys Brock! Virtanen this year has been the most explosive forward behind Granny. His 0-60 is intense... just like Granlund. Yep Virt looks like a different person with the sane number and nameplate. You also forgot Horvat's skating, definitely improved too and he's pretty damn fast too, they clocked him at 38mph the other night just 1mph slower than McDavid. Its hard to say... he hasn't been very good at face-offs for his career so he'd have to pick that up a fair bit, but maybe with the new rule changes he can improve. I sure like him as a winger though. Jake seems to have the green light this year to make his way to the net.
