Tank Thread

Sven Baertschi is likely out for the season. Fortunately we have Leipsic to play with Horvat and Boeser now, but it's still a big loss. I wonder how this will affect our lines, especially in terms of who Virtanen plays with.
Oh well, it helps our tank.

Last year was a masterful tank but they scrude the end game with a few road wins. Alas, TO picks first. This year they still have a chance for a top 4. Please Benning, don't worry about the road games and play with experiments as much as possible. The fans have reached the acceptance stage.

Huge day tomorrow with Arizona, Buffalo, Ottawa and Vancouver all with games!

Unfortunate but a good chance that we end up #5. Watched a bit of the Oiler game on Saturday and they are brutal. Ottawa is not much better. Typical Sedin play that they save their best for now!

Looks like the fix is in.  Baertschi and Eriksson done for the season, and now this:

If standings don't "improve", we may hear that Granlund and Gaunce are the next ones shut down.

Pretty dumb decision, Goldy needs to be playing not sitting in the pressbox.

Think he wants Goldy to see, and more importantly, think...

The Youngsters are getting a short leash, as they can change their ways. They are being moulded after the device, 'my way or the highway'...

With the old players, its kind of too late... JJ is only in to fill a spot.

To be fair, Eriksson and Gaunce out of the lineup could actually hurt Team Tank.

Uh Oh.

Montreal shutting patches down for 4-6 weeks!

That's tanking dedication.

To be real, you're not.

Having Jokinen in the lineup as opposed to Gaunce or Eriksson, serves your Team Tank purposes far better.

Well that was a crazy day of games. Buffalo beat Toronto. Ottawa beat Dallas. Edmonton - Arizona went to overtime, with Oilers winning.

And of course, we finally won a game in overtime.

That Boeser injury looked very serious though. To me it looked like a bruised or fractured tailbone; the former takes 4 weeks to heal, the latter takes 8-12 weeks. Hopefully it's not a spinal injury. Regardless, it might be a good idea to shut him down for the season, especially with how meaningless these games are.

They’re saying 4-6 weeks. If he comes back in 4 weeks there’s only 2 games left on the season. I’d hope our management isn’t that dumb to play him. As a bottom team we shut him down. Play it safe with Brock he is our prized jewel.
