Staying on the west coast probably works as he would remain close to LA (family reasons) and Canucks would actually offer potential playing time. Juolevi needs to start the season in the AHL, but at the deadline some team will want D depth and Phaneuf as a big body veteran could be attractive for a 2nd round pick.... move him out and slot Juolevi in.
