c00kies
Wow, 6.5M is really good, and Faulk should be able to maintain his level of play for most (if not all) of that contract.

Toews
This clearly means that the Blues think they won't be able to afford to keep both Parayko and Petro beyond this year. Either they will let Petro walk or sign Petro and trade Parayko.
Elias Pettersson
The best D in the league just got better. Who's going to stop them now? Parayko Pietrangelo Faulk Bouwmeester Gunnarsson Dunn Bortuzzo Size, skill and nasty. Oh my...

This D core screams potential repeat and as a Canucks fan I am totally jealous. Pietrangelo will get paid and Bouwmeester will likely be gone or take a huge cut. They are actually in decent cap shape for the next couple / few years. Exactly the opposite of how the Leaf's are constructed - totally top heavy with none of their D outside Rielly locked up or even signed beyond next year. 1

Bowmeester will be 36 next summer and comes off the books as Ufa. They'll put his 3.25 mill towards Petro and sign him long term.
