Considering that he got 2 games for his first illegal check to the head in 2018, it should rather have been 3-5 games.

2 games in a best of 5 do or die play in series is close if not more than 5 regular season game imo

watches video... man is this league getting soft.

That didn't look targeted at all, he just wanted to make contact..

He just wanted to make contact with the guy's head.

Lined him up and delivered the force of the hit directly to the head.

Good call by the dop(e)s, imo.

Agreed. Then again, Aaron Rome got four in the Cup Final without suspension history.

I love big hits but not to the head.  More we became aware of head injury, more we are being caution.  You would want to walk away the game being healthy and being able to support your family.  Had they became aware of this danger from day 1 in late 1800's, the leaguer would go length to make sure that it's safe back then before we are born.   Hits to head is not acceptable.  Even Stevens' hit on Lindros would have been illegal in today's standard because it came from the shoulder to the head and the head is the principle of contact and it's impossible to avoid the head.  So what the NHL needs to do is to make some amend to the rules in their rulebook for clarification so that this type of big hit can continue but as long as it's from shoulder to other body, not the arm to initiate the hit.  I would love for the big hit to come back in a safer manner.  Most often when the head hits the ice, concussion happens, your head hit twice, first from the player then head hit the ice, so that's a double whammy.  We do not know which caused concussion, the player first or the ice aftermath of the hit.  You might not get concussion from the hit but could get a concussion when your head hit the ice.  It's impossible to know for sure.
