Well back home and just watched the game with the wife. WOW that was a game from the champions! We looked like we lacked energy across the lines and ideas. A number of players looked lack lustre so a shake up needed I feel for game 5. Not wholesale but some video work on the blues and maybe a bold change. Overall on balance 2 2 I think is fair as much as it hurts to say and would have taken that at the start it is just momentum is with the Blues right now. Big big push needed tomorrow.

Agree 100% Blaze.
I do expect the team to raise their game after Game 4.
Thought a few of Blues goals were very preventable and down to poor communication or tiredness....

It may happen again, but I don’t think it will.

And a few of the forwards will come out fighting with something to prove.
Regardless, this is a totally new ball game for the boys, and a few of them will be hurting big time and the zip will have gone out of their bodies after the pounding they’ve been taking. Again its all part of the process and a valuable lesson learned. There’s nothing that can fully prepare the team for playoff hockey except trying it.
if it was so easy to just go out and score some goals a team like Tampa would have won a cup in the last few years.
Lets see what tonight brings... maybe Santa will be good to us :)

Now is tie in the series.

Both team is at the same level.

We need to learn in the past 4 games for preparing  the coming two or three games.

Even we loss, our young cores and coach staffs learn a lot from this year's payoff.

2011 a hobbled team took the bruins to seven , healthy we would’ve won. Please stop with this our current team would win nonsense .

Top to bottom the 2011 team was stacked. All four lines contributed, all 3 pairs of D were great, and our goalie tandem was one of the best. Best PP, second best pk(i believe). You can't even compare these two teams.

Yes maybe 2011 was better in the regular season but the eay the blues are playing, its Boston 2.0

You must be a new fan because you clearly have no idea how good the 2011 Nucks were, and how mean and tough the 2011 Bruins were. St Louis is charmin soft compared to that SC winning team.

I am frustrated as I feel many of the things the Blues changed could be countered and also we could have made several adjustments

I get they are more experienced but I also don’t want an excuse for losing

Our team has a strong roster and it will only get stronger in the next couple of years. We need to bring in experienced coaches that are capable of taking the team to the next level

Yes. But who?

For me I’m not the biggest fan of Green but I have seen him grow during the playoffs and feel he might be a lot better for it. I also feel he will have more confidence when sitting down with JB in knowing exactly what and who this team needs to make it better, and the style it needs to play in.

i do think the assistant coaches and support team behind green needs an overhaul. The only one I would keep would be Malholtra and maybe move him behind the bench, and then go look for some proper defence specialist coaches. Also we need to be able to break teams down better when they are set and it’s a struggle we have had all season. It’s not just the kids but the whole team which means it needs a look at.

i think Green has earnt some time and good will and we need to give him to tools to succeed, then we can evaluate performance then

You mean guys like Manny Maholtra, who is expected to get offers to be the bench boss of an NHL team

I don’t think Malholtra is ready for that yet, I think he needs to be part of the bench coaching staff first, and he probably would then want to take an AHl team (hopefully the Comets and he stays with us) but yes he is widely regarded as an up and coming coach who has all the right attributes and mentality to succeed. But I don’t think he Is ready or other teams are ready to to give offers for a top role yet

I think the guys would play for Malholtra. He's coaching success in the FO circle speaks for itself.  As for motivation I know Malhotra bleeds green and blue like Smyl and Linden.

The boys would respond to him. He had to overcome a lot to stay in the league.

where did you hear that?

If you google him and coaching there are a lot of in-depth articles which include background, history and details about his desire for coaching.

He is highly regarded for his character, attitude and leadership. He currently does game reporting from the box for a top down view for the Canucks as well as face off coaching. Bo speaks highly of him as well.

how that translates to the tactical aspect on being an in game bench coach is as of yet unknown. But it’s the next step for him to be behind the bench (albeit not as a head coach)

Agree this experience will shape not just for him but Jim, what is required through the off season. First time I have seen my team in the Play-offs and I'm learning if honest. Green hinted at it, one off games i.e. league is very very different to a match up 7 game series. Loving the highs, not the lows LOL but everyone is on a journey on the team if not been through this before. Big push tonight needed and hope with a rest we have a little more spark
