Gotta love it:

CDC when we play a team (Leafs, Sens) coming off a (1) back to back:   "They're coming off a back to back", "They're tired", "Gotta take advantage of a tired team" "Should beat them, no excuses", "if they weren't tired they would've won".

CDC Feb. 8 after the Canucks had:  4 back to backs in 4 weeks; 16 games in 27 days including travel to 6 different cities; 10 days off (6 of which spent travelling):  "Doesn't matter", "who cares?", "whatever", "excuses", pro athletes shouldn't get tired", "lame", "worst".

Oh, the ironing

Indeed we were one of then few calling out about the schedule and that fact it wasn’t just about tiredness but a lack of cohesion due to not having a day to train i between matches and flying to the next one.

it’s the same when the Canucks win about 80 pages in the GDT/PGT on a loss it’s about 130, as everyone wants to blow the team up for picks while at the same time saying we should be challenging for the cup

CDC Feb. 8 after the Canucks had:  4 back to backs in 4 weeks; 16 games in 27 days; 10 days off (6 of which spent travelling) = 4 days of rest in 27 days:  "Doesn't matter", "who cares?", "whatever", "excuses", pro athletes shouldn't get tired", "lame", "worst".

Also to be noted:  teams just now enduring the horrible scheduling have had time to acclimatize and are in "game shape".  Some getting some good footing and leads to buffer with.

When the Canucks trudged through hell it was right from the start/out of the gates.  A very limited conditioning stint then GO.  With new players to adjust to.

Oh, the ironing

For 20 years went through an arduous physical job that had a 10.5-11  month season... by the end everyone was beat up and exhausted.   4-6 weeks of recovery and back at it - took at least a month to get back into game shape and peak shape was always 3-4 months in.   Wasn't hockey but it was extremely physically demanding and required time off to recover every year.   Agree that the start our team had was about as stupid as it could get from a management viewpoint - id have never put myself and my crew through it if I could avoid it.  Peak shape was usually about half way through, after that it started to wane.   By the end a lot of us were dead tired and need that break - which i'm sure these guys do too.   So agree.  Going from zero to 100mp hour ... not an easy thing.   There is a reason for training camps and for easing into it.   Won't be surprised at all when guys start to get injured at this point given the pace they have to set, but also get there is no choice too.

Maybe that will calm the FIRE GREEN crowd considering we have been without our #1 center since the 2nd. B)

No it won't.   Dumb Nuck is our good luck charm though so he gets a by.  Please say Fire Green until we win a cup.

makes sense for a bunch of reasons, cap, fit, expansion. Git 'er dun Jim.

Would think he’d get an NMC if signed before expansion.  Seattle is just as far from Winnipeg but border crossing/quarantine could still be in effect for some time so he’d likely want security to stay in Vancouver.

he's not in a great bargaining position though, and we do have Benn who would likely happily take an extension with no protection. We have also set a precedent with Myers not getting protection, and I can't see Jim giving Hamonic that when he didn't for Myers.

For sure.   Money will also matter - same with familiarity.   Hope JB and Hamonic can make it work for both sides.   The bank is going to EP and QHs and pretty sure they will end up as a pair (identical contracts) somewhat like Horvats JB will design the teams future around both these guys and they will be the highest  players on the club.   And that it will be fair and reasonable.
