I have been buried in a wet slab avelanche up to my neck. Jump off a ridge over some bushes and went for the ride. It dumped me on an escape trail and the snow covered me in seconds. It sounded just like wet concrete being poured. It also set like concrete. I had managed to keep one arm above my head After chipping away for 5-10 minutes with my snapped ski-stock and getting nowhere a snowboarder finally came along the trail and dug me out with her snowboard.
