I would like to see them give Anisimov, Sceviour, or Eric Staal a long look and take the best fit to give us more center depth and some leadership. Running 4 lines, great mix of talent, size, speed and grit. Use the first quarter of the season to further develop our younger players and turn them into bonafide nhl assets. The off- season was very good for Canucks with all signings and roster moves, but as a very long (30 years) Canuck fan, I am always expecting that something will go wrong (please, don’t give me a hard time for that, I am just sharing my feeling with fellow fans). And when these negotiations with #40 and 43 were dragging like forever, the sky really started falling down for me. But now it is all behind and we do have a very competitive roster. However, I think he was also preparing for a start to the season without Petey or Hughes. My opinion you should not break up the lotto line. Also, Podz has been a little bit like a deer in headlights in the two preseason games with flashes of ooo.
