I think the Canuck brain trust knows what OJ is as a player at this point. Rathbone hasn’t played near the amount of games for them to make a full evaluation to this point.

 

I don’t think OJ not playing in this game means anything in regards to him not making the final roster. As hard as I’ve been on him as a player I actually think his chances of making the team have increased as camp has progressed. His PK work could very well be his pathway to making the team. Still think Rathbone has a far greater chance to be an impact player for us long term. But no denying OJ has some useful utility to the team right now.

I think he's made it. OJ as a defensive 6 lhd behind Hughes and OEL makes sense as a guy that plays limited minutes and can play the penalty kill.

Jays? No, not really. They won a lot down the stretch. Came up one short. Dropping 2 of 3 to the Yanks last week was trouble.
