He’s literally one of the best power forwards in the league right now, name me one true power forward in this league that’s out producing him. These types of players are so valuable in today’s NHL. Miller is the heart and soul of this rather soulless team. Without him, we wouldn’t even be talking about playoffs. Yet everyone wants to trade him for &^@#ing Fiala who’s nowhere even close as good as him. Miller is worth more than any return he could fetch. What he brings to this team is invaluable. We complain about our team lacking in the physical department, we complain we have no pushback, no grit, and yet some still want to trade the only player who plays like that on a nightly basis while being the primary contributor to this teams offense. if someone wants JT they better pay a kings ransom otherwise screw off. 6 1 4 1 1 2 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

We still have one year of a good cost controlled contract left on him, and if someone is giving us a 1st and RHD blue chip prospect as a start I would listen. Right now, the org needs to gauge where they are at honestly, and leadership choices have to be made with the President/GM/Coach. Then we gotta see if the players in the room are open to some sort of reset/retool. TLDR: A lot more evaluation and reflection, plus management moves need to happen first, trading him now would be kneejerk and counter productive. Patel Bure Posted November 24, 2021 Share Posted November 24, 2021 1) Horvat and Miller have very high value right now. 2) It’s unlikely that either guy re-signs here after July 1st 2023. 3) This season has proven that the Canucks are not in “win now” mode and should be thinking about replenishing their cupboards instead. Both Horvat and Miller would land you a 1st and/or elite prospects in independent deals. Go back home somewhere in the States. I wouldn't want to see him leave though. He's a heart and soul Kesler type of guy and is pretty crucial for our team.
