They likely break the rules in many different ways, but one example is the Perpetrators of violent attacks policy.

Reading through more of their rules, it becomes even more apparent of their inability to moderate.

How many times have you seen tweets like this? I've seen it far too often.

I don't have Twitter.  So I guess I'll have to take your assertions then I guess.

“If a man is not a Socialist at 20 be has no heart, but if he remains one at 30 he has no head.”

This quote (rather something similiar to it) has been attributed to Winston Churchill (though there isn't any source to prove this).

Tell us something that wasn't obvious Elon.

I like the 'LOL'.

Easily the most overused acronym that the Right uses. Which is always so strange as they often have their knickers in a tight twist. It's usually randomly dropped into sentences that aren't funny. Maybe they think is means something else?

Saw a story on the news a long time ago. An older woman had a distant family member pass away. So she texted "So sorry for your loss LOL".

Then another family member texted her and tore a strip off her. She couldn't figure out what she did to make them so mad. So she showed the text to her daughter who was mortified. As was the mother once the daughter explained to her what it really meant. She thought it meant 'Lots of Love".

Every time I hear or see someone use the term "woke" in any manifestation of a statement towards the left/centre left I know who I am dealing with.

10 years ago I would have been a right, centre right person.  under todays terms with how far the right has swung the pendulum I am left/centre left.

Doesn't mean I am "woke" just means I believe that crap is now so far out of hand that people are whining about accountability for their own behaviours and inability to change.

The people who seem to use the term woke the most with the loudest audiences have pegged everyone with a modicum of respect for their fellow humans as "woke" and to be honest, that's all a bunch of BS so every time I hear that term used I kind of just generally assume the person using it is an immature jag with accountability issues and a loud mouth who seems to need attention on the same level as 18 year old girls in tik tok

Thing is, look into his history.  Elon has ALWAYS been anti-union.  anti-worker health & safety legislation.  A libertarian.  Libertarians have never been left leaning nor "liberal".  He's confusing the term imho (either unintentionally or intentionally).

I don't care if he's libertarian or presbyterian.   I care about people using these pathetic terms and words to enflame the masses by labelling literally half the population as X because they don't believe Y.

People like Ben Shapiro are now looked at as paragons of masculinity and Musk as an inventor and because they have such large audiences they get away with whipping the idiots in to a frenzy by claiming they are doing X Y or Z.

It's trash and he's an attention seeking idiot with a bank account now; little more.

He didn't actually invent anything to my knowledge.  "Elite level" promotion skills though.

Unless I'm mistaken, he was born into a rather financially well-off family.  Granted you turned that afluent status into uber rich status.

No one really uses the word "woke" seriously anymore, It was made up by overly progressive people to make it sound like they were more aware of their surroundings than everyone else. Nobody should get angry for getting called woke, way worse things to be called.

I think Elon is going to turn pandering to the right via twitter into some kind of massive government contract for Tesla vehicles, or something along these lines. He's clearly positioning himself to be their free speech champion. He already has a fawning army of Musketeers hanging on his every word, maybe he'll do the same thing with the US right wing.

I want to see a Musk vs Trump GOP primary.

Wonder which egomaniac is gonna win that one.

Never thought of that... kind of a scary idea. I think Elon would be happy just to be the social media gatekeeper/kingmaker and cash in. If Musks team and Trumps aren't already talking about a way to get Trump back on twitter I'd be shocked.

I really think this is all about political influence. The US senate and house both look to be turned this fall to GOP control, and maybe for a number of years to come. Elon could be in line for a lot of lucrative contracts if he's the media gatekeeper.

Yeah, he seems to have something up his sleeve.

That tweet is exactly what will rile people up about his take over.

I swear he was saying something about how social media should be neutral and here he is, the new twitter boss pinning his political stance ...which is moving to the right.

yep. He wants to be this century's W.R. Hearst.

I mean I'm just guessing, but to me this all feels like political control and influence.
