Elon Musk Officially Purchases Twitter, Takes Company Private

I think Elon is going to turn pandering to the right via twitter into some kind of massive government contract for Tesla vehicles, or something along these lines. He's clearly positioning himself to be their free speech champion. He already has a fawning army of Musketeers hanging on his every word, maybe he'll do the same thing with the US right wing.

Well it won't be with this administration. With all the sh** talking he's done they're not awarding him anything. Not when there's other American competitors.

No one really uses the word "woke" seriously anymore, It was made up by overly progressive people to make it sound like they were more aware of their surroundings than everyone else. Nobody should get angry for getting called woke, way worse things to be called.

Them, the alt left, alt right, far left and right, the proud boys and femin-nazis can all go to hell and they can die.

Thats right, they can go to hell and die.  the extremes at both ends are just awful and seem to have the loudest voices on the largest platforms which panders to the masses who are already easily mislead.

Buggers

As I have pointed out on this forum before, the origins of the term woke in the context people use it as a political/ social statement can be traced back to a speech Martin Luther King gave at Oberlin college in 1965 titled, Remaining Awake through a Great Revolution.

Read the excerpt from the speech in that article and you will realise not much has changed.

I don't know how being woke can be a bad thing. I understand that as a catch phrase it has been hijacked.

It makes me think of the RATM song 'Wake up'. I was just reading the lyrics earlier. Zack is a straight up poet.

Spoiler
Come on
Come on, although you try to discredit
You'll still never edit
The needle, I'll thread it
Radically poetic
Standing with the fury that they had in '66
And like E-Double, I'm mad
Still knee-deep in the system's $&!#
Hoover, he was a body remover
I'll give you a dose
But it will never come close
To the rage built up inside of me
Fist in the air, in the land of hypocricy
Movements come and movements go
Leaders speak, movements cease
When their heads are flown
'Cause all these punks got bullets in their heads
Departments of police (what?) the judges (what?) the feds
Networks at work, keeping people calm
You know they went after King
When he spoke out on Vietnam
He turned the power to the have-nots
And then came the shot
Yeah
Yeah, back in this
With poetry, my mind I flex
Flip like Wilson, vocals never lacking that finesse
Who I got to, who I got to do to wake you up?
To shake you up, to break the structure up
'Cause blood still flows in the gutter
I'm like taking photos
Mad boy kicks open the shutter
Set the groove
Then stick and move like I was Cassius
Rep the stutter step and left a bomb upon the fascists
Yeah, the several federal man
Who pulled schemes on the dream
And put it to an end
You better beware
Of retribution with mind war
20-20 visions and murals with metaphors
Networks at work keeping people calm
You know they murdered X
And tried to blame it on Islam
He turned the power to the have-nots
And then came the shot
What was the price on his head?

If I could I would give this post a million " likes".

As you state he is a true wordsmith.

All their albums are great however that first one was simply brilliant.

Top ten for me.

Thanks for posting those words.

Every time I read/ sing them I get emotional.

This is pretty damn funny ............

Tom Morello and Twitter respond to those people only just realizing Rage Against The Machine are political

It began after Morello received a message from one fan who complained about hearing "political BS" in his songs

Reality is that with the left on a casual stroll to the left instead of sprinting. In America anyways.

Thing is wanting better healthcare, pay for workers, education, reduced pollution, better representation for minorities and women, better social programs really all that radical?  I guess in the eyes of crazy CONs, it is.

US have always been a more right leaning country so to them it is radical.

Like I said Bernie is considered a Commie in the US where he would be like a left leaning Liberal up here. Heck with JT's pack with the NDP probably even the right side of the Liberals.

People worried about Elon Musk buying Twitter and causing people to lose their free speech.  Meanwhile inflation is at a 40 year high, the stock market is in a complete free fall and interest rates are climbing by the hour.  This thing is just getting started...

Those same people claiming they will lose "free speech" on a PRIVATE PLATFORM with terms and conditions (lol seriously americans, read your 1st gd amendment) are the ones that think that 40+ year highs in inflation started Jan 16th 2020

Or, if they're Canadian, it's Trudope's fault and have F__ Trudeau flags/stickers/etc. merchandise along with numerous social media posts of a similar nature.  FREEDUMBBBBBB!!!!

Have you been on Twitter in the last 2 weeks?  People losing their sh*t over the sale...

Not because they're worried about losing free speech...quite the opposite, actually. People are worried about Musk letting pathological liars like Trump back on the platform...
