Popular Post greenbean30
If Huberdeau isn't signed to an extension in the next few days/weeks, then I'd be nervous if I was a Flames fan. 5 1
Popular Post Gurn
Weegar and Huberdeau are UFA at end of next season. So likely just rental players. Given the trouble Calgary is having retaining people. 1
Losing With Pride
Florida banking on him luring his brother down south when his contract is up. Could you imagine what they would have gotten back for Johnny Hockey last year combined with this?

Considering many thought they were going straight to a rebuild it says something that he didn't have them as one of the 8 teams he won't waive for. I could see him re-signing with them. More likely he just had other teams he was less willing to be traded to. Unless Calgary is backing up the Brinks truck I don’t know how Huberdeau doesn’t go to free agency. 1

Fanuck
If Hub/Weegar walk in a year Tkacphuk essentially just got traded for a very late first, or Lames gonna try to flip these guys since nobody wants to stay in CGY?

What makes everyone think Huberdeau will be happy in Calgary? Also this move simply replaces Gaudreaus production. They’re still down a 100 point player. -AJ-
I have no idea how Tkachuk got that haul. That seems like an unfathomable overpay by the Panthers. I guess pending UFAs aren't worth that much with a full year left? Would not bode well for Miller's value.

Obviously I have no idea what I'm talking about, just a feeling.

The idea they are dead in the water might not be true. agree, flames have potential with this trade, both of those players are good, now trade the 1st for a another good player, flames could be a team on the up
