That's not a very good source list at all. No McKenzie, no Button, no THN, no Black Book, no Recrutes.

B Mac is probably the guy but his final list isn't out yet.  

 

I think it's decent at least it's taken from multiple sources and averaged out instead of just some guys opinion.

Fair enough I guess. I wouldn't use it myself but to each is own. After decades of following the draft I stick to sources I know and trust - McKenzie, SportsNet, THN, Central and Recrutes would be my top five currently. None but Sportsnet are included on that list. I don't mind McKeen and Smaht. The rest I could do without.

I mean realistically it's just a guide a general estimation. I don't like it because it doesn't have a lot of players I like on it but central divides them by euro and NA and that's kinda a cop out. 

 

End of the day watch em make your own list. Tell anyone who doesn't like your list to watch em and make their own list then make a reasonable case. Arguing about well this list has this guy at 75 and this list has him at 60 seems silly to me when we can just say he probably belongs in the late 60's if you like him more have him earlier on your list.

I listened to a Detroit podcast the other day with Tony Ferrari and they were very high on Moore and Danielson.
There description of Danielson made it seem like the perfect 3rd line RHC for the Canucks

That's a good breakdown and I think it would be pretty close to the consensus here. ASP a little high, maybe supplanted by Perrault. Leonard is my guy if he's there. I've siad it before and I'll say it again. I would be happy with any of those players to be honest.

A little suprised you have Heidt in a tier above Dvorsky, based on how they have showed at the u18 tournament. I know its just one tournament but you also werent super high on Lekkerimaki who is a similar stature to Heidt correct? I havent really seen much of Heidt though this year.

I think 1 of Heidt Perrault Benson including Cristal will be a star I sort of lumped them there Gavin Brindley looks pretty slick too. I wouldn't really compare Heidt to Lekkerimaki at all. Lekks a shooter swims around in open ice. Heidt drives the play loves the puck on his stick. 

 

I don't really know what you mean about Heidt's u18 he was a late arrival just jumped in the mix after PG was eliminated with no practice time. 

 

In regards to Heidt he's a 5'11 180lb  skilled playmaker I like that he is willing to engage physically T Bird keep yer head up there. I'd a made that hit too it's playoffs.

 

 

 

Heidt absolutely feasted on the PP which tells me that when the D box out he's able to get work done on the inside where Benson really struggled on the PP even surrounded with all that talent. I like Heidt not only is he incredibly skilled he's a real pain in the arse on the forecheck and the back check.

I do my own version of aggregating different lists, including the list created by the same person/website and how it changes over time. In my aggregate list, Minnetian sits at 59.

Dvorsky tier 5? The guy is carrying his team in the tournie right now, I think he'll go top-15 easily if not top-10. Also as much as people don't like Benson I think he'll still go top-15 at the end of the day. A lot of future middle-6 two-way centers in there who are all interchangeable IMO.

Nothing wrong with table 5. There are some really shiny picks there like Yager oooooooooo Cristal ahhhhhhhhhhhh

 

On the other hand there are a couple real stud D Bonk and Strbak, Halttunen could be the next Tage Thompson.

This works for me! Dvorsky is incredibly entertaining to watch and I’d love it if we drafted him. However if he can finish up with a strong game against the Americans tomorrow then I’d be shocked if he didn’t go in the top ten. 

 

I’m really hoping we can land either Reinbacher, Dvorsky or Leonard. All three fill Canucks needs; a big talented RHD, a skilled two way C, and an explosive Power Forward. Having said that, Danielson or Moore would be a solid consolation prize.

Would be excited to see Wahlberg, Carter Southeran or Dvorak taken in round 3... big boys in positions of needs.

Smith vs Dvorsky today will be a really interesting matchup, Leonard will be out there surely trying to shut down Dvorsky as well. Battle of the future 1st rounders, these are the important games - throw out all those multi-point stat boosters for the USA forwards, these are the games that count so I'd put more stock into tonight. 

 

Expecting Dvorsky to surprise everyone and win the matchup but USA to win the game. You know Strbak is going to play like half the game so will be a really good test for him too - again, if he finds a way to shutdown the USA forwards and drop some assists, his value will sky rocket in the draft.

Yep this Smith kid is the real deal...crazy to think he'll go 5th overall but watching him in this dare I say he challenges to go higher? Smith over Carlsson?

 

Leonard looks real good out there too, can't go wrong picking any of these guys, they'll all be NHL stars soon. That Eiserman kid is going to be another one, couple years younger than everyone and he looks unreal too.

 

Sweden vs USA should be an interesting final but I'm giving it to America, that top line is unreal.
