If hughes continues to transition to the right side with no drop in play that’ll give this team some serious flexibility to find a top 4 dman

OEL-hughes

sanheim-Myers

dermott-poolman

This team is 1 top 4 dman away from being a pretty good hockey team

i was thinking sandin and myers would make a good 2nd pairing.

My first concert ever, BTO (LOL, my friend's cousin was in the band)

We get up every morning without hockey, life’s boring

But right now there's a buzz in the city

Team’s at Whistler, up above and people pushin', people shovin'

Get jerseys signed, they all look so pretty

If your train's on time, get a glimpse of number nine

Deb’s happy that she’s gonna see him play

If you’re one who gets annoyed, oh well, I'm overjoyed

He’s worth every single penny of his pay

And he's got unfinished business (every day)

It’s all unfinished business (how they’ll play)

Take care of this business (win the week)

Take care of this business (and listen to Bruce speak)

If it were easy as fishin' be no need for just wishin

Time to make our rink loud and not mellow

Get flags on your cars, team’s gonna go far

Because they’ve got the right bunch of great fellows

People we’ll be having fun when our team’s number one

We’re really gonna like it this way

It's the slump that they’ll avoid with the roster that’s employed

Bruce there it is is what we’re gonna say

And they’ll be taking care of business (every day)

Got unfinished business (they will play)

Even in the close games (they’ll do fine)

Taking care of business they’ll win in overtime, (so don’t whine)

haha mine too

then I saw Ike n Tina Turner review, during a low period for them

Not worried about his skill and IQ. It's him being able to protect himself along the boards. He'd gotten into a groove on how to stave off forecheckers into his corners. Absorbing hits I mean. Why take the chance.

Fair enough. But one thing this experiment will do is, stretch his boundaries as a player.

After all, he was the one who offered.

Sometimes you have to say no to young guys. Like those extra long shifts. Knowing your limits and what's best for the team. He's protected himself well from hits at LD. I'd hate to see him miss step and turn the wrong way during a game. He's been a marked man back there.

I worry about this guy. You're right, he seems to absorb hits rather than pivot away from them; if his first few strides were a little faster maybe he wouldn't be punished on the wall so much.

Absolutely it's a concern, but it could happen on LD too.

I personally like having Schenn as his RD.

Built-in protection.
