FlyLow_
Glad for Dipietro, this organization handled him extremely poorly. 1 1 1
BureBurrito
Looks like a Benning special. Get a easy to draft player or UFA in the summer now for a player that could blossom better than the acquired player later. -AJ-
Bit weird to trade away a defender, but Myrenberg is a longshot anyway. Dipietro wanted out anyway and Studnicka is a strong AHL forward at the very least. I'm okay with this deal.
Popular Post zduck14
My God...... Only in Vancouver can a trade as insignificant as this leave fans calling for management to be fired and the owner to sell the team. I get the frustration overall of the last number of years but come on, dipietro isn't good enough to play in the AHL at this point. Myrenberg, while he has a chance at the making the NHL, is more likely to be a 7th or 8th dman than a top 4. If he was on any other team, nobody here would know anything about him. With Lazar out, Studnicka gives the Canucks a hard working, good skating, 23 year old center that still has potential to be a reliable 3rd liner. 1 4

Dipietro will never play in the NHL.. he's barely good enough for the AHL.. the covid and having to call him up for emergency and letting him get shelled in his 1st ever nhl game prolly destroyed the kid. it's a trade that doesnt' do anything for either side.. and more likely than not we'll ever see any of them in the NHL for more than a couple games here and there. although i'm surprise it's 2 for 1 not 1 for 1 If 1 game destroyed him he is far too mentally weak to make it no matter who develops him. 1

One injury down the middle and we had to trade for someone. Lol. What is going on? DiPietro wanted out. The team wanted to move him out. Both got what they wanted and Vancouver gained a little cap space plus a player who might turn out to be worthwhile. Pretty tidy business, I'd say. And about losing Myrenberg and any other prospect, well, prospects don't help you win right now. Unless of course you don't care about winning right now, in which case, why are do you even call yourself a fan? 1

A little far fetched to call him a stud prospect at the time. True, but Forsling had gone from 7th rounder to playing as a regular in the SHL in one year, so his trajectory was very positive. That said, "stud" is probably still an overstatement. 1

RHD, play an AHL guy in that Position, this guy from Boston is no better than a rookie taking Lazars place. Or Joshua, then Lockwood playing wing. So ... Yeah not a reason to include anything in Moving out DP

Quantum
I get trading DiPietro, that seemed inevitable. No idea why this management group needed to throw in Myrenburg in.

When your biggest need is right shot defencemen, you add one of the few you have in a trade to your throw your opponents off their game. Keep 'em guessing.
