So now that a new jersey manufacturer takes over, do the Canucks move on from the Orca to the Skates full time?

With how the Canucks have been marketing the skate logo, I'm thinking there's a good chance this happens.

As someone who likes both the orca and skate jerseys, I hope both stay in circulation.

Fanatics is a trash company, make no mistake.

But I'm going to wait until we actually see what they come out with before passing judgement. The MLB and NFL jerseys are made by Fanatics, they just slap the nike logo on it for branding reasons.

Am I optimistic? No. But I can't assume they're going to be complete garbage any more than I can assume they'll be on par with the MLB or NFL in terms of quality either.

During WCE days, when you buy an authentic jersey it was made in Canada and had a higher price tag, and all patches and numbers stitched.  Now you buy an authentic jersey, still with the higher price tag, but they are not as well made and you get numbers ironed on instead of stitching.  Recently at Canucks store, they charged me extra $80 to have my retro jersey to have EP40 stitched on instead of heat pressed.

Even those 50 anniversary patch were just ironed on when you pay for an "authentic" jersey.

Blame Canada!!

No really things have gotten cheaper and cheaper.I hate our standards have got so bad here.

We need to get a signatures for this so they can be made the right way.

The lower quality jerseys were not made in Canada (Adidas were from Indonesia, don't know about Fanatics).

The on-ice ones worn by nhl players remain made in Canada at a Quebec factory.

I understand the need to outsource to get cheaper labor etc, in order for retail fan jerseys to remain affordable. But for jersey collectors or those that want true on ice authentic jerseys, they should offer the Canadian made ones for sale albeit at a higher price point.  What I am upset about is that they advertise them as "authentic" jerseys, charge them more than fan jerseys, but they are still just replicas.

well, the worst case scenario just came true. was really hoping for CCM to come back.

This, and they have created nice modern jerseys for the Junior leagues too. Or maybe it’s too much for them for the increase on productions, no?
