No it doesn’t.

Aho, Teuvo, Necas, Pesce, Skjei, and Javis all need new contracts within a year. Miller’s contract will just handicap their option of re-signing their players.

I think they'll move on from Necas and Pesce and a miller deal would likely involve JK, so it's only an extra $4mish for them to take on.  They have to do something, their window is closing

Won't happen but it will give CDC lots to talk about until the draft.

He just won't give up on the "Miller is gone" thing.

Yup, I was hoping to keep Bo and move Miller since last season. We resigned JT moved Bo and JT is not going anywhere anymore. Looking at how both Bo and JT finished the year, I’m ok with that.

They've got to cut major $ and he's the easiest way to do it and one of the only ways they actually get value back.  We know he was in play at the tdl, no reason to think he won't be at the draft too

Why would they move on from Necas? Led the team in points this season, and is only 24.

Their window isn’t closing at all. Aho is 25, Necas is 24, Svechnikov is 23, Kotkaniemi is 23, Jarvis is 21, and Pesce is 28.

Because veterans win Cups, not kids........but kids want monster deals on their second contract and that will slam their window shut.

How much is Necas going to get?  Jarvis?

They’ll make Necas and Jatvis work, if anything they’ll move Kotkaniemi to accommodate it. And no, it won’t be for Miller.

Actually even though Tkachuk got the OT winners, Barkov was just as much a factor or perhaps even more.

The key for the Panthers is they have two really strong lines... with Barkov anchoring one and Tkachuk the other.

And Barkov is a really good shut down center... a big reason Mathews did nothing in the Leafs series.

Agreed. Barkov has always been underrated.  Still though, I'm not sure if Panthers would make it this far had they not traded for Tkachuk who has been clutched with 3 OT winners.
