-Vintage Canuck- Posted June 27, 2023 Share Posted June 27, 2023 Quote The New Jersey Devils announced today that the team has acquired forward Tyler Toffoli in a trade with the Calgary Flames in exchange for forward Yegor Sharangovich and a third-round pick in the 2023 NHL Draft (pick acquired in Damon Severson trade to Columbus, originally Calgary's selection acquired by Columbus via Seattle, 80th overall). Sharangovich was set to become a restricted free agent on July 1. Toffoli is entering the final year of a four-year contract signed with Montreal, carrying a $4,250,000 cap hit ($3,500,000 cash due in 2023-24). I really like Sharangovich as a player. Big, fast makes things happen but not great scorer. Hate to see him go to Calgary.
