The brand value is also something conveyed through actions and to shut down the "fans" isn't really a good way to be branded. Why would I? That's what I said. I would come here. Read up interact with people. I'd look up the schedule. The scores. Standings and player leaders as well as news from the actual website. I'd buy stuff from it too. Without this forum, I have literally zero reason to be here as I will just google something like: NHL standings. NHL scoring leaders. NHL save %. NHL schedule. This is more than 100k + people a month in the off season not generating traffic here anymore. It's shortsighted to the extreme and will just tank ad revenue and traffic with this site. It's also why I suggested any ads on the new forum be tied directly to the Canucks NHL web page so that all ad revenue it generates come directly from the same place that evicted us.
