Gyllenhaal
That's insane. He needs 6 more shutouts to tie the NCAA record for most shutouts in a season.18 more for to reach Miller's 26 shutouts in a career. With 25-30 more games to play, 6 shutouts seems plausible. Not so sure about the 18 though.

Pears
Demko is a shutout machine my god. I wasn't kidding when I said a potential Demko-Markstrom tandem could be the best in the world.
CanucksJay
Calgary has Jon Gillies in their system who is on par if not a slight notch below DemkoUnless you manage to draft and develop an elite goalie, there isnt much of a difference. Gillies is not even worthy enough to hold Demko's jockstrap. I'll start his nick name here. Backup Jon. That's going to be his NHL name. The name will only last 2 seasons because after that, he'll be playing in the Swiss League and his nickname there will be Jon the Swiss Cheese.
Edlerberry
Wow. That's some insane goaltending, despite the weak teams, this is huge. he's also getting into scrums, picked up a couple pims for roughing. what a beauty

nergish
I find it kind of hilarious that the Virtanen thread has 500+ pages and Thatch is at 39. We've known for a year that this kid is one of our top prospects. Now it's looking like he IS our top prospect.
Gstank29
I honestly think we well see him play next year (2016-2017) after the trade deadline. I would assume Miller is dealt to a contender Edited November 8, 2015 by Gstank29

hatedkid666
Do NCAA have backup goalies that get games? Just out of curiosity. Demko is a tank, there is no way he is playing in college next year, he's way too good

Most teams have a #1 that get most of the starts and others go with a 1a and 1b. If you have someone as hot as Demko you are going to ride him as much as possible. EagleShield
Demko has to go pro next year, simply because it's not fair on the other kids playing the NCAA circuit.

UticaHockey
JB needs to lure the kid out and straight to the Canucks. You might want to take it a little slower. College goalies need some time before they are ready to jump into the NHL. Remember how many teams were drooling over Matt O'Connor from Boston University last year including Vancouver. He signed with Ottawa because they offered him early NHL playing time. How is he doing in his first pro season? So far with the Binghamton Senators in the AHL he has lost his first 5 games with a 4.24 GAA and 0.865 Save %. Now Demko is a better prospect than O'Connor but it is an adjustment going from college to pro hockey.
