Gimme a break with this idealist crap, no ones demeaning anyone.. Emotions reside within the individual, and are a result of ones personal perspective... Somehow life goes on...

It's idealist to think that women don't have to be used as a metaphor for weak and cowardly?

Tell me more.

Where can I sign up for the Toni Zamboni fanclub? I'm telling you, those GIFS are giving the actual wins a good run for their money.

GOLD.

Bang on...

Tears of laughter... Zamboni and Makaveli96 makes life better ::D ... Keep it up please. Brilliant +1

Woo! I was bang on with my 4-1 Canucks win.

Gotta love the timing of this trio of games against weaker opponents (TO, Philly, Columbus) when we have our full squad back (minus Miller). It's the perfect tuneup heading into the final stretch of the regular season. I think the guys coming back from injury are rested, motivated, and will provide the energy for the team, and this would prevent a letdown. I expect the team will be a well oiled machine heading into the playoffs. Can't wait!

I saw that, but was unsure if that was the reason. I've seen worse and thought maybe it was some more leaf biased game management.

I have to say the penalty shot was a pretty weak call imo. . Sure there was the stick in the hip, but the tap on the hands wasn't much. I didn't think it warranted a penalty shot, but I could see 2 mins in the box.

I think Kass got the misconduct for shoving the ref. No complaints about that one, although there were plenty of other questionable calls.

I can even live with the penalty shot. The one that was a head shaker was the one on Weber. (as Dib pointed out) Never mind the fact that it led to a 5 on 3, it shouldn't have been a penalty even if the Canucks hadn't already been short handed.

Watching the replay, it's clear that Weber had his free hand in front of the Leafs player the entire time. That's exactly how defenders are taught to angle forwards away from the danger areas. Terrible call.

Dude come on. Kassian is probably going to get suspended for what he did. He had plenty of reason to be angry but what hurt the team. He will be out and engaging with the opposing team while you have a big lead is a huge no no. That is defending big leads 101. He should never push a ref because that is grounds for a suspension but turning that aggression against the opposing team when you are down or in a close playoff series is fine. I never said you can't do that while you are down, of course you can.

Blatant sexism. Not that I really care though. Just pointing it out because it is funny to see someone be sexist towards their own gender.

Kassian clearly needs to settle down. Accepting the Maroon's invitation against the Ducks was totally selfish. Pushing a ref to get at Phanuef or Lupul or whoever? Come on. That doesn't benefit the team.

I'm going to disagree with your attempt at educating the rest of us on hockey dos and don'ts.

IMO, when you have a three goal lead is about the best time to send a message to the league that the Canucks will no longer be an "easy" team to play against, where you can take runs at the twins, or push our guys around in scrums with impunity.

Would you have been happier had he done so in a one-goal game?

Can't blame Kass for losing his cool, how many times will he get punched while the refs have him tied up? Total game management situation last night. The league obviously wanted a show for TO fans to keep them tuning in on their tanking team.

If so I won't be watching next game. Watch how many more cheapshots there are when Kassian isn't in the lineup. If Kassian is sat for that then it's clear WD has a problem with him. Should have sat Dorsett than for his dumb penalty the other game if that's the case.

He might have went overboard, but the rest of the league saw Maroon turtle against him and now this. No ones going to want to mess with the canucks anymore when he's in the lineup. We've been pushed around way too many times the last few seasons.

Nice to get the W though. The reffing in this league is embarrassing.

Hahahahahah! you are hilarious. :picard:

It is getting sickening to watch the refs holding Kassian's arms while punks like Reaves and Phaneuf are allowed to throw suckerpunches at him. Either let them fight or grab BOTH players. I'm pretty sure holding one guy's arms and allowing another to rain gutless cheapshots on him isn't in their job description ... then again, maybe it is when it's a Canuck gettng hit.

Horvat had a very exciting game - he actually looked very dynamic offensively, imagine if he was with some good offensive players...

Bonino Horvat Vrabata - I would like to see that as our 2nd line!!!

He is, that is part of the reason he is looking so good.

Other than the 1st period, pretty poor performance by the Canucks which has really repeat itself over the last 5 games. Lack stole points vs SJ, Ana, Az. The canucks probs deserved the 2 points tonight, but they in no way looked like a superior team to the Laughs.

Bieksa with a rough 1st game back. he gets a bye, but some of those no look turnovers were just brutal. This Dcore really needs become apart of "change is coming". Really love Bieksa the guy, but hes almost worked his way outside the top 6. Sbisa has horrible hands, but is by far our most impactful in the physicality department, and therefore has a place in the top 6 imo. His value will multiply in a playoff series.

Hamhuis is well overrated by easten media. I doubt he'd ever waive his NTC, but you could probably score a sweet ars return for him. He's been really inconsistent and other than Tanev, is part of a turnover machine that makes up our blueline.

I find that even when getting zone time that we have forwards that cycle and control quite well, but when the puck comes to the point, the play generally ends as they often just dump pucks back down the boards for 50/50 plays. We seriously need some playmakers back there. Even just 1 would significantly increase our scoring chances for, which in turn should result in more goals.
