(WNCN) – Former Carolina Hurricane defenseman Aaron Ward was arrested Friday in Cary and charged with assault on a female, authorities said. Cary police were called to Ward’s house just before 1:20 p.m. Ward was also charged with interfering with emergency communication. Ward was traded to the Canes in 2009 from Boston. And how the frack is pushing someone considered assault? Like Jesus Christ. Unless you're pushing them down a flight of stairs or into traffic or something it should not be considered assault.
