Watching the playoffs and its been some absolute savagery going on ice in some of these series.
I really hope the Canucks brass are watching Winnipeg - Minnesota ,  Boston - Toronto , Anaheim - San Jose etc......

Playoff hockey is still heavy ASF.

Tryamkin.
Come back.
Sign Kane
Draft B.Tkachuk

Big Buff in Winnipeg is destroying people.

Totally agree.  We need some heavy, mean SOBs who can actually play the game to insulate our smaller skilled guys.  Plus, our smaller skilled guys need to be mentally tough, because they are going to get put through the meat grinder.

Our forward core is going to be so soft when we add Dahlen and Elias

gotta move guys like Baerschi, Gagner etc.....
Maybe consider B.Tkachuk + E.Kane to shore up that Left side and do whatever u need to do to get Trymakin back here.
Our back end needs a couple monsters.

I like those ideas. Even granlund.

Skilled top 6.

Mean bottom 6.

Let's do it.

Not saying playoff hockey isn't intense but I see Nashville,  TB,  VGK doing just fine relying on mainly speed/skill.

OP is framing things to suit his argument, ignoring the teams you mentioned.

It's really early still.

The reason Tryamkin left is because he was sick of the coaching staff always trying to get him to play tougher and meaner.  He's a gentle-giant.

I'm fine with him just leaning on people and snapping their legs.

Doesn't have to fight all the time.
That man in a couple years will be insane if he has the work ethic for it.

Like everything else in life I believe a diversified approach will work best. The Canucks will need at least two heavy bodies in their top 6 forwards and 2 heavy dman in their top 4.

They will need 2 heavy forwards in their bittom six. Basically one per line.

It's 2018....no goons but thick men. Bo could be one and so could Virt.

Gagner isn’t going to be around for long. Baer is trade bait IMO.

so did he request a trade instead then ?

since he did not at all like the coaching staff?

did he change his mind when the coaching staff was changed ?

and here i thought he left due to marital pressures and home sickness

i guess i sure was fooled

edit: oh and i forgot all about the issue of too much pot being around and consumed in this city
