A healthy Sutter makes this a tough line to score against Leivo Beagle Motte - Energy and checking This is a lineup that can be quite interchangeable, which gives Green a lot of options. If Baer and Sutter can stay healthy, they could have a very good season. I like it.. remember, last year the bbb line was the first and now they added a lot of skill with petey and more grit too. without granlund ( already gone), erikson (trade with 50% salary retainend?) and goldobin (utica?) this team is really much harder to play against. Our team is better with him out there. I wonder if Sutter might play third line wing? It would be easier on his body. He could take D zone draws though, but have the winger responsibilities? I don't care what anyone thinks of Eriksson, the only way to trade him is by letting him gain some value, plus I don't think the Aqulini's would be very happy paying 6 Million to a player in Utica to save 1 million in cap space. Here is my best shot at it: Ferland Pettersson Boeser Miller Horvat Pearson Baer Sutter Virtanen Leivo Beagle Motte Motte to be replaced by Roussell when healthy. Gaudette as our extra center. McEwen and Goldobin as our extra wingers. I put Ferland on the first line as he is most effective playing with the highest end guys. I also think he is a better fit to protect Petey. That also allows Miller to drop to the 2nd, which I believe his talent level suggests he probably should be anyway. Edler Tanev Hughes Myers Benn Stecher Fantenberg Biega Sautner I wasn't sure if it was best to put Tanev with Hughes to allow Hughes to pinch in and do his thing better, or if it was best to offset Hughes' small size with Myers. I think it could go either way. Markstrom Demko Overall, what really stands out to me is that we no longer have a small, weak team. This lineup is going to cause havoc for the opposition, and I think combined with our newfound depth it is well built for the playoffs and the rigors of a long season. HorvatToBaertschi Posted July 12, 2019 Share Posted July 12, 2019 Re-doing this since i posted before the Ferland signing: Ferland - Petey - Boeser ---> nothing to say, that line is perfect if the chemistry works Baertschi - Horvat - Miller --> solid mix of grit and skill, good in all 3 zones Pearson - Sutter - Virtanen --> energy line with scoring touch, very decent depth Motte (Roussel) - Beagle - Leivo --> just an incredibly above average fourth line, full of grit and high work ethic and defensive prowess Edler - Myers --> two way D with offensive D... enough said Hughes - Tanev --> sheltering a rover with the best defensive dman we can offer (and one of the best in the league) Benn - Stecher --> just a really steady 3rd pairing overall, defensive Benn and two way Stecher Marky Demko We are looking really good this year.
