  1. I’m with you there any time canucks win and leafs lose its a great night
  2. Pretty incredible production should be one way traffic at nhl awards night.
  3. Has he played top 6 minutes much this year? One thing I’ll argue on for the style Boeser plays he needs to produce like an Ovi but unfortunately he’s more of a Jordan Eberle. He is the kind of player that could be a fit in Arizona or Chicago as they work their way to the cap floor
  4. When we acquired Hronek signalled we weren’t trading Miller. Eventually Boeser or Garland or both will be traded out but probably at the draft.
  5. I think the timing of the trade is what is throwing people. But getting a legit top 4d through trade is difficult and when the opportunity was there they pulled the trigger. Last offseason I think many fans expected we would trade a forward for a d. Now in a round about way we have and it’s the right move timing is just u expected.
  6. A year like this one makes you appreciate what Benning tried to do with the Beagle’s and Roussel’s of the world to shore up our PK. The challenge for this management team is to find the low cost versions of those types of players.
  7. There will be a season McDavid gets injured and others will get their due
  8. Whether it’s a first or second Schenn brings a lot to the table for his cap hit which makes him a realistic target for any playoff team compared to say a klingberg who’s cap hit is not doable unless you are trading back a roster player
  9. In Schenns cases that is Balogne. His salary is low enough even cap strapped teams could pull trigger and get done. I would bet we more likely hear his wife had a planned c section in the next few days so baby can be born before Luke has to leave town.
  10. Interesting that the player doesn’t get more out of his game considering his size and skating. #neversignajets5thdmanagain
  11. I don’t think a trade is made if they don’t get atleast a 2nd rounder.
  12. I don’t think he can sign with anyone besides the ducks before end of this NHL season
  13. Good observation, probably on for some empty netters against if we were on the wrong side of the score line
  14. The trouble in that series was Lu was very hot and cold when he was good he basically shut out the B’s when the team lost it wasn’t close. As good as the Sedins were that year the one piece of Kryptonite was Chara. Take him off the Bruins and I think we have a banner in the rafters.
  15. If anything it was a careless lack of judgement. It was also a long time ago so likely the lesson was learned
  16. If part of the deal is resigning him what’s the difference between Meier and Horvat. Both trades are “win now” type moves. Good centers can always play wing and teams wanting playoff runs need a horvat type winning draws.
  17. Imagine the power play guru’s you could hire with the dollars green and Boudreau are being paid to sit at home and be quiet
  18. That’s some commitment to the tank, I’m happy to just be in a position to move to 1st place winning the lottery. I feel like if it’s going to happen it’s going to happen not matter which slot we fall into.
  19. This is what Giroux brought last year, think Horvat could bring more based on his ability to win faceoffs. MARCH 19: Florida Panthers acquire forwards Claude Giroux, Connor Bunnaman and German Rubtsov, and a fifth-round pick in the 2024 NHL Draft from the Philadelphia Flyers in exchange for forward Owen Tippett, a first-round pick in the 2024 NHL Draft or 2025 NHL Draft, and a third-round pick in the 2023 NHL Draft. | Giroux traded to Panthers by Flyers for Tippett, first-round pick
