Michael Del Zotto is one hit away from 200 for the season. He has the 3rd most hits of any NHL defensemen.
The only D-men who have more are Robert Hagg from PHI (232) & Nikita Zadorov from COL (206).

Mixed emotions. Fantastic trade but sad to see Burrows go. He was a warrior for this franchise and will always be the dragon-slayer that got us past Chicago! All the best Burr! Heart of a Canuck! Guess I'll be cheering for Ottawa come Playoff time! Hell of a trade by Benning getting us a top prospect in Dahlen! Ottawa got fleeced! Let the rebuild continue!

POINTLESS BENNING BASHING:
I just want to go on record here, although I don't agree with all of the decisions made by Benning thus far, I still like the overall direction the team is going (ie. Youth movement). All of the people bashing Benning without any reasoning really make it difficult for people who are legitimately questioning specific decisions with well thought out arguments. People saying things like, "Benning is so stupid! Wake up!" and "ffs Benning, do something!"... All you're doing is making us all look stupid and strengthening the arguments of those who defend every decision management makes no matter whether it was questionable or not. Instead of hurling insults, why don't you come up with an intelligent argument for a change. *end of rant*

When I saw the trade go down, my initial thought was WTF! But that was out of my love for Shink, been on record as a huge fan since the draft. But that's what we are supposed to do, love our boys right?
I wish more posters would show the same love and respect for our management team.. They are part of the team too, and are not doing a bad job. Look at what he inherited.

Thats in his draft year. With that electric potential I’m thinking he will be a 1st liner. Possibly a good winger for Pettersson.
I had also traded Edler, Ericsson, Gagner, and Del Zotto at the deadline and got some extra picks. I used that in a package to trade for 4th overall to draft Byram.
Potential Top line forward and Top line defenseman in the same draft. Not too shabby.

Very disappointed we couldn't get anything for Hamhuis and Vrbata. I can understand Hamhuis because of his NTC and his desire to stay in Vancouver, but Vrbata should have been traded at the very least. Take whatever you can get for him. Not like he is going to be re-signed. Terrible asset management in my opinion.

Wife and I went for Ultrasound yesterday and SURPRISE. We are having TWINS!
We have a 2 year old son already so our family is jumping from 1 child to 3. We are both very excited and terrified at the same time.
We are keeping it low key for a few more weeks before telling everyone but I needed to tell someone.
Figured my CDC Family would be a good place to freak out anonymously.
