      Funny how Matheson actually got into rough stuff with a small guy like Domi. He tried to get into it with Motte last game as well. I guess he only goes after guys 5'10 and under. Further proves what a coward he is.

      No, I don't think Chia would do that. I think a Lucic type deal (7 years, 6 million per with a NMC) makes more sense for Chia.

    Bro Jake leaving 1040.  I actually liked the guy.  I listened more for for entertainment during my commute in the morning rather than expecting serious hockey discussion.  Like going to McDonalds and not expecting 5 star dining.  Id sit and have a beer with jake over the likes of the new cut throat spread sheet pushing JD Burke types any day of the week.  Good luck Jake!

      @HerrDrFunk I'm sure you meant to quote me there, well that's good to hear. Again, I'm not condoning what Kane (both Kanes I guess) did in the past. I'm just saying that he's trying to be mature and change his ways. He's certainly fit in well with a team that has a solid, veteran leadership group like the Sharks so I would say that's a step in the right direction for him.

      @HerrDrFunk Got a question for you, when was the last incident he had off ice? Personally, I think he's trying to be mature and move on but people keep bringing it up. I'm not condoning his previous incidents but it's time to move on.

      This happens every year to a player(s). Some guys have it worse, look at a guy like Vladimir Namestnikov. He was the Lightning's first line LW for most of the season and gets traded to the Rangers at the trade deadline.

    Does anyone else think McDavid is overrated? 

     

    Hes great off the rush but once he's stationary in the offensive or defensive zone he's just average. 

     

    In my mind he will never be the calibre that people think he will be.

     

    Don't get me wrong he's a great player and he's young, but is he currently overrated?

      Definitely not overrated in terms of skill and talent. However, his leadership skills are overrated (but he's still only 21). One thing to note, aside from winning WJC gold (albeit on a stacked team), McJesus has never won any notable championships. But time will tell.

I feel like he hurts the team more than helps has a player ever said they want to play up North with customs,taxes, and less media exposure because of Drake? Wasn't that the whole point? The Raptors have the best bench in the league yet they don't have any real superstars.

    Is Evan Bouchard AHL eligible next year? I see he has 3 juniors years under his belt already but I’m not sure if that qualifies him.

      No he isn't. He has 3 years in junior due to the fact that he's a late birthday. He's in the same situation as Lind and Gadjovich this year, both late birthdays and had 3 junior seasons but not yet eligible for the AHL. He will be eligible in 2019-2020.

    Atlanta Thrashers/Winnipeg Jets.  Drafted top ten 8 of 12 years in Atlanta (1 year without a 1st round pick) and 4 of 7 years in Winnipeg in the top 10

     

    12 of 19 years with top 10 picks.  Two 1st overall.  Three 2nd overall.  And a 3rd overall pick or two as well.

     

    Vancouver fans would never ever allow that to happen.  Loving the Jets atmosphere right now

    everyone is mad about the hit on boeser and how nobody did anything...have people forgotten how revenge goes for the canucks... media should know better... ya i am talking about how naslund was roughed up and bertuzzi incident unfolded... perhaps at that point the canucks got the hammer put to them behind the scenes...we don't know...people need to remember this and see how this stuff unwinds and thats why players don't over react....

    Send Virtanen to Utica tomorrow when you activate Bo. He's just not showing consistency and the style of game we need him to play. Better for him to get top minutes down there and some confidence back.
