  1. Not yet, anyways. The irony and the hypocrisy have almost come full circle, imo.
  2. I don't know where else to put this and I sure as heel am not going to start a topic on it! When you are banning bastions of free thought and public learning from your events, you just might have become the person you claim to despise most. This group has banned both UBC and the Public Library from their "Inclusivity Event". Has the Left gone so far up their ass that they have met with the right on the other side? It starting to trend that way. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/vancouver-pride-bans-library-from-parade-over-event-featuring-transphobic-activist-1.5221943
  3. That Canucks team was weak AF and Ferland was out there with something to prove. He's one of us now but I'm not expecting him to perform like that night in and night out.
  4. What do you make of this? https://www.syti.net/UFOSightings.html
  5. Pretty sure we were told to stop Trespassing and not come back.
  6. MMMM.... all that evolution!!! We are soooo sophistimicated on the West Coast
  7. See what you want to see. It has evolved, a lot. Animals are now considered sentient beings and not property. Nobody is kicking and beating animals at the rodeo, that is complete non-sense. KoS said what, 61 horses over 35 years or something like that? In the context of the hundreds of thousands of horses that have attended in that time, I don't think it sounds that crazy. Alarmists sitting in tidy little boxes, living in tiny little bubbles might read more into, I guess. Marketing? Not sure what you are on about here.
  8. Rodeos are beautiful. They are cultural. They are Social. They are fundamental, even to people who live in the city. They showcase beautiful creatures of the earth in a way that they were bred for. They showcase animal husbandry, which is a way of life and very impressive the more you understand it. You see animals being "stressed", I see the world turning like it always has. Some horses die, some cowboys have their faces bashed in, but that's not the point, that is not the entertainment. It's not like NASCAR where there is literally nothing to look forward to except for the occasional carnage, you have it all wrong. Take some kids to a rodeo and tell me how terrible a place it is. If you don't like feed lot's and slaughterhouses, you should have a real appreciation for what the rodeo is: It's life happening before your eyes, maybe you don't realize it for what it is.
  9. It's not just calfs. I dated this girl once, from Surrey....oh never mind.
  10. Yeah but those 61 horses are in the ring of honour. We're still talking about them! You ever punched a 'roo? Go to 42 secs. "An interspecies free love hatecrime". lol
  11. Been buying every 2-3 years since '94 plus I had Blades of Steel NES. That was the first one I remember where you could actually pick cities incl. Van and the colour scheme of the jerseys was close. Bought 19 but going to have to get 20 as well based on roster changes.
  12. People need to stop projecting human emotions onto everything. Some animals have jobs and are happy doing those jobs. Others job is to become protein sustenance for other animals. Real life stuff, it's not always neatly packaged.
  13. Big question for me is Goaltending. Will be make or break. Of course staying healthy on D is a big one too. Can we be a good enough possession team to overcome weakness on G and D?
  14. Screw those whiners. We got most of an NHL Line-up this year boys!
  15. LMAO, all I did was c+p part of the Canadian Criminal Code. Warhippy is triggered! So desperate for a bad guy. Can't you see it's pulling us apart?!!?!
  16. Need some swagger back in the library. Get out of your comfort zone city dwellers!
  17. Indecent acts 173. Exposure (2) Every person who, in any place, for a sexual purpose, exposes his or her genital organs to a person who is under the age of 16 years (a) is guilty of an indictable offence and is liable to imprisonment for a term of not more than two years and to a minimum punishment of imprisonment for a term of 90 days; or (b) is guilty of an offence punishable on summary conviction and is liable to imprisonment for a term of not more than six months and to a minimum punishment of imprisonment for a term of 30 days.

@NewbieCanuckFan Fair point. Edmonton has their version of Crosby and Malkin but don’t have a Letang or Fleury.

Yeah I’ve said a lot about OUR blueline (and not always positive), but you’d have to get me pretty drunk to want to switch the Canucks blueline with the Oilers blueline.  Goaltending?  There’s even a larger gap between our teams (obviously in our favor).
