    Would Nyquist, Smith, and a 1st for Edler have been a good trade? I don't know about you guys, but Nyquist, Shinkaruk, and Mantha as the future top 3 LW's sounds pretty fine to me.

    I asked this in the Montreal rumour thread but I thought it might get more traction if I asked here: Eklund said a Van-Mtl trade could happen early this week. If he gets it wrong can he be put on the invalid source list? But if he gets it right he can stay a valid source?

    I know NHLSourcesSay is an invalid source but he tweeted that the reason there is a 'hold up' in free agency is that free agents are waiting on Vancouver to see what they do with Edler. Thoughts on that?

      Canucks are not going to sign anyone left from the free agency market unless Raymond can take a salary cut but all I know defence is more important in the NHL than offense and I think gillis will sign Tanev over Raymond
