FDNY vs NYPD charity game bench clearing brawl

Recommended Posts

Holy crap! It's a charity event between two groups of people who save lives for a living. How does it devolve into that? Good thing there was a hockey game to make it okay or the cops would have had to arrest themselves.

Hopefully no one was hurt and it was all in good ....fun(?)...stress relief(?).

Isn't it well known that Firemen and Police Officers have some hate towards one another?

If you think about you never see or hear about any paramedics, doctors, nurses, etc... get involved in any sporting events against a PD or FD. It's always a FD vs PD type deal, so I'm not surprised by this whatsoever.

It's a petty rivalry no different than Navy, Army, Marines, etc. They have no actual reason to dislike each other. Let alone attack each other like that in a charity event that is meant to help others and not be built around self emotion. Hell what does it say about people who are paid to be calm, cool, and elective in intense situations can't act civil at a a charity event xD

It just shows how primitive some people are.

Oh, I know its gonna get worse, but this is just pathetic. It's a freakin charity game.

The fans ate it up, and they generated videos with tens of thousands of views on YouTube.

So they not only put on a good show for the fans, they also marketed their charity event. Win/win no?
