Absent Canuck
I hope the injury isnt serious. I am betting Burr has a bounce back year.
Pavelinden
Looked more of a Charlie horse (a big one obviously) then the knee buckling. Pure speculation on my part. Burr doesn't need this, the year has hated on him enough.
higgyfan
^ I agree. The hit was above the knee, high on the thigh. I didn't see the knee twist either. Hopefully he'll be fine.

elvis15
Stephen Whyno @SWhyno #TeamCanada is optimistic that injury to Alex Burrows at world championships is not too serious: http://bit.ly/1jQMNEU
TheRussianRocket.
@sportsnetmurph: Sounds like just a bad charley horse for #canucks forward Alex Burrows at the World Championships. Thank God! Play seemed 100x more dangerous than a charlie horse. I'll be shocked if there's no serious damage other than that. What a way to luck out. DeNiro
Apparently there's talk of him being able to play Sunday if everything checks out on Saturday. Thank god if true. That could have been pretty serious. Last thing he needs is another long term injury.
hockeyville88
Phew. Hopefully it doesn't get worse overnight. It's unfortunate any time a player gets injured, but it's so much worse when it happens during an IIHF event, especially when the players are only playing to have a good experience and represent their countries. When it happens at Worlds it could mess up an entire summer of rest and training for the players. Glad Burrows is ok. That guy has had the worst luck with injuries. Kevo882
So latest reports are that it was just a charley horse and he is a game-time decision for Sunday vs. Sweden. Finally the guy catches a break!
zombieksa
There is no denying it was accidental contact and that there was little time to avoid it by either party. Just glad it isn't serious.
