nuck nit
Mean, rugged, powerful skater with a good shot. We feel like we got a real good player. Bonino-PP help. 24th player -we feel we can get a good player. Ryan asked to be traded and we did all right under that situation. VanIsleNuckFan
Good pick, Jake Virtanen, 1st in Physical Play, 2nd in Skating, ranked 7th overall by Bob. Hopefully he pans out well, couldn't help but think that he may have dropped a few spots due to the injury and surgery..besides, bigger frames are what we need out west, not small skilled guys... Provost
Not a chance we take Virtanen at 6th.... that would be ridiculous. He is a mid round pick. We will have a good possibility of getting a much better player. Well I missed on that one... I do think if we hadn't picked him in that spot, he would have been picked in the 11-15 range. A good barometer is where Ritchie went (the most similar comparison)... Ritchie was ranked ahead of Virtanen and went 10th. I was thinking they wanted a guy a little more NHL ready, Virtanen is a couple of years away especially considering his injury that will keep him out of training camp and early season.
