Brennan and G Anders Nilsson. ----------------------- Snow went all in, pretty good deal though actually. Islanders have their 2 goalies in Halak and Johnson, Brennan is an AHLer who scores in the AHL. Pokka is a prospect with top 6 potential but Leddy is already a young top 4 defenceman. de Haan - Hamonic Leddy - Boychuk Reinhart - Carkner Visnovsky (injured at the time). And I think they need to bury one of those two salaries still to make cap compliance... ? It's close. They'd have a 23 man roster and be a couple hundred thousand under the cap, so no room for any callups in case of short term injuries. Maybe they waive Carcillo and hope he clears, since he isn't a lot of use to them in their lineup and they wouldn't want to risk losing their other young forwards. Now, they acquired Boychuk who's reliable, and Leddy who has NHL experience. Pokka is the only player in this trade worth mentioning, but Leddy is still young so i like it for the Islanders. With Tavares, Okposo, Grabner, Nielsen, Strome, Bailey, Cizikas, Grabovski, Conacher, Clutterbuck and Lee up front, and Halak in net, NYI is getting close.
