MeanSeanBean
I really hope we see this kid back in NA next year. Was so surprised to see him leave without getting a chance, since he seemed to be highly regarded in Utica. He seems exactly like the type of player we need to be stepping in to our bottom 6 in the next little bit. 2

Boudrias
Maybe with all the changes in Van Jasek will give it another try.

Kid has NHL speed, good on faceoffs, plays a solid 2 way game. We could use those things. 4
Googlie
Seems to have bulked up a little since his Utica days too. Maybe he's the 3C we need so that Miller can return to the wing

He's the heart and soul of this team, its spiritual leader. Sure, he makes the odd gaffe, but then immediately buckles down, gets on his horse and tries to rectify his mistakes. But there is only room for a few high paid stars and that's where the ELCs of a Jasek, Karlsson, Lockwood, etc prove their value

Does he even want to re-sign? We CAN NOT afford to let him simply walk in 1.5 years. Love the player, minus the (not as odd as I'd like) gaffes.

As for Jasek, he would be a direct replacement for Lammikko. Juho also played in Liiga at a very similar age (might even be identical as he's 25 now). Juho Lammikko's only full season in Liiga: 2019-20 Kärpät Liiga 57 games, 22 goals, 29 assists 51 points.

Gotta think he'll get a chance given the way coaching and management have been wiped out at the NHL level. If he wants an NHL season this next training camp is likely as good a shot as any, and you can bet the new GM and management (whoever they end up being) will be taking a hard look at what we've got in the system. Assuming Rutherford hasn't already.
Googlie
Still performing in the Finnish SM Liiga...... Leads the team with 30 points in 27 games (5 goals and 25 assists, + 15) Our other Pelicans prospect, defenceman Toni Utunen, has 3 goals and 3 assists, +4 in 29 games

Popular Post SID.IS.SID.ME.IS.ME
If he’d been in Abby this year, gotta think Jasek would’ve already gotten the call. Probably within the first 10 games, given how much we needed a RH faceoff guy who could PK. And I think he’d very likely have proven himself a viable option on the 4th line. Then again, Green might’ve benched him after one mistake. Or limited his minutes and punished him for not playing “Travis Green hockey.” You never know. But Jasek is so coachable and he always works hard, so I suspect if he ever got his chance, he’d earn his keep. Hopefully next season he gets a look. It should’ve happened last season IMO, but that’s water under the bridge and the decision makers from that time are all gone. Hopefully Rutherford/next GM and Boudreau decide Jasek deserves a contract and a chance at making the lineup next training camp. 1 4

A right-handed center with speed and the ability to play a 200 foot game and chip in some modicum of offence- sounds like what we need. 2
