soshified
Wow just before the season starts. We can't catch a break can we?
SID.IS.SID.ME.IS.ME
So does this mean we don't dress a backup tonight versus Calgary? IIRC, we can emergency recall Bachman, but only on the 2nd game after first dressing a roster that fails to meet the "18 and 2" minimum (18 skaters and 2 goalies), as per CBA Article 50.10 (e). And we don't have the cap space to add Bachman via a normal call up (with Markstrom on IR). Unless one of the skaters is demoted first. EDIT: This is assuming we don't LTIR Higgins (which was the reason we waived those guys the other day). And assuming Markstrom isn't hurt badly enough, let's hope, for him to go on LTIR. /EDIT Gonna be interesting to see who's dressed tonight. singularity
hopefully Ferland runs Miller really good tonite Now now.. why don't you take the family and go play in traffic and leave the big things like "words" to the people who know how to use them.. Adamth
we need to mix up our players have them take 2 way setting - i dont see enough of this in Canucks anymore. ie : a L-wing can also play R-wing or Center

Me_
Markstrom is very capable of stealing the job. I'm basing this off last year's ahl playoffs and how solid he's looked so far. Throw in Miller's regression and it's not hard to believe that Marky could be starting begore season's end. Throw in your need to destroy others and you have yourself a great life bud. Nave
I can't believe he's injured. Hopefully it's precautionary

Barry_Wilkins
Bachman says, "let me in between the pipes, you ain't seen n-n-n-n-n-nothin' yet!"
AngelicHearts
Man, this sucks. Hopefully Markstrom recovers soon because I don't think Miller will take us very far.
appleboy
I have one foot on the side of the fence where this really sucks and could hurt our playoff hope. The other one is firmly on the side that says I hope the kids play well but we come up short and get a high draft pick. This is a no lose year for me and it will be fun. I think I will take one sign that says "Go Canucks" and one that say " Matthew's" on it.
WHL rocks
Hoping he just tweaked something and this isn't very serious. Most likely a groin problem. Hopefully he'll be back soon and take over as our #1 by mid season.

HK Phooey
Cool, we could really use some goalie controversy talk. I'm sure Pratt has already slung some "Should have kept Lack" garbage on-air. It's a good thing no one takes the Fatman seriously.
Spitfire_Spiky
Hopefully he's alright and its nothing major, he is ready to prove he's an NHL goalie and then this. Just bad luck.
DarthMelvin
Seriously? Lower body for goalies usually mean a groin tear. Would be my guess anyways. Cloutier goalie coach....Hmmm suspect
VegasCanuck
Hoping they just sat him with Miller scheduled to start last night and probably on Sat. No reason to risk making it worse.
