This team performing exactly like expected.

We all knew this would be the product on the ice since summer, not sure why a couple wins at the start of the season got so many blind homers thinking otherwise.  This team is in transition and we were fully expecting to draft in the top 10... unless your name is Apollo, of course.  Then the Nucks were poised to dominate the West again.

every 3 0n 3 loss so far the forwards have all been over the age of 30.Sedins twice and this time Vrbata and Higgins.Speaking of Vrbata, when does he get benched.Crap passer and just shoots any old crap at the net.How many players is RGW gonna roll with this guy before a result.

listen , it sucks to lose .   i get it ..    but this was how it was supposed to go this year guys ..     we are gonna have our ups and downs ..   we are met likely sellers who are gonna move some vets for picks and young studs at the deadline .  we are a rebuilding hockey team with great management who has a plan ..  trust it and be patient .. gonna stock up the cupboards with more great picks .. were gonna be a mean hockey team in a few years

If you're having trouble blowing out your birthday candles, get the Canucks to do it for you. After all, if they can blow third period leads, they most certainly can blow out difficult candles. Then again, they might even find a way to blow it big time by blowing the entire cake off the table. Lol.

Everybody out of the way!!:o

The Sedins were brilliant tonight, lots of effort and fantastic passing against a great defensive team. They just didn't back-check on that first goal but apart from that, they had a hell of a game.

Horvat is looking terrible right now, I think it's because he has far too much responsibility as 2nd line center but defensively he's been struggling. A couple of nice rushes but he can't get the puck out in the defensive zone, made a few mistakes and sucks on the PK positioning-wise. Guess we don't have much of a choice right now though.

Higgins was one of our best forwards IMO. Battled hard, won battles and generated some chances out of absolutely nothing.

Baertschi, Virtanen and Shinkaruk were completely invisible to me tonight apart from maybe a couple of rushes where they touched the puck. Shinkaruk had a few chances to make something happen but I noticed he was playing VERY safely, always opting for the safe play as opposed to the risky confident play.

I thought Cracknell was one of our best forwards tonight. Nice goal, brilliant hands in close and did some great forechecking as well as penalty killing. He deserves more time for sure.

McCann was fantastic tonight in all zones of the ice, nice goal but he was generating offence out of nothing again.

On the whole, the forwards were pretty weak at clearing the puck out of our own zone which cost us several times. We really need to work on defence from the forwards right now because we're giving up far too many chances and our defence isn't good enough to deal with these rushes by themselves.

As for the defence, Edler and Tanev had a nice, strong game tonight. Everyone played well at times, including Bartkowski and Weber and Hutton early on, but mistakes cost us the game. That Tanev-non call honestly turned the tide in the game but we didn't respond well to adversity which is the sign of a great team. You watch the Blackhawks in the playoffs - a call like that goes against them and they have so much character that they go out and score the next shift. Instead, we turtle and blow the game. That's the difference - how a team plays in the face of adversity, and we suck at it.

Markstrom was great for us tonight, not much chance on the goals. They weren't soft goals, those were grade-A chances our defence gave up. Absolutely BRUTAL mistake by Hutton costs us the lead, and once again the rookies have burned us. It's a double-edged sword and we seem to be on the wrong side of the rookie scale time and time again because we simply have too many in our lineup.
