Gaudette Celly
Yeah, they're not trading Demko. Benning said they thought about taking him at the McCann pick. The Torts Tank certainly helped us get both Jake and Thatcher.
MoneypuckOverlord
if we don't sign Demko Benning should get fired. Always his supporter, unable to trade Dan hamhius, simple as that, unable to sign a prospect??? cmon.
Ghostsof1915
How about some defencemen in FRONT of Demko?

Demko hasn't even finished his college season yet - still playing in the frozen four.

Darth Kane
I heard Chicago and Toronto are the front runners for Lyon. He played in their prospects training camps over the past couple of seasons.

theminister
I'd be a little wary reading Lyon's numbers compared to Demko's. Yale plays a very different system than BC, desire BC being an excellent team, and Lyon faces much less and lower quality shots than Demko. To that point, Michael Garteig looks like a stronger option than Lyon. And Garteig is a proven performer, being a big part of one of the best teams in the NCAA. cripplereh
Would be nice to get another decent goaltender so at the draft we can go after D and forwards, maybe a very late pick for a goalie!
DeltaSwede
Over on HFboards a poster said that Kevin Weekes reported that the Canucks are in on goalie Michael Garteig from Quinnipiac University. Haven't been able to find the source though so can't confirm it. B.C born goalie. http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=47152

He's a former invitee to our development camps and the club has been keeping in touch with him ever since. EDIT: but I suppose a pretty good source is Kevin Woodley of InGoal magazine and NHL.com. He's been tweeting recently that the Canucks are interested in Garteig. So it's a pretty safe bet the Canucks will be "in on" any list of NHL teams potentially signing Garteig. Same goes for another 2014 development camp invitee, BC boy, and former Penticton Vee: http://www.pentictonwesternnews.com/sports/270524991.html?mobile=true https://pentictonvees.wordpress.com/2014/07/31/garteig-impresses-at-canucks-camp/
