SilentSam
Hutton needs to be given a “green light” when carrying the puck.. too often do is see him carrying over the Center line and up to the blue line with good speed, only to dump in and peel off when most of his wingers are aware and ready to cover his point position. Popular Post Boudrias
Hutton levels Johnny Hockey from the crease after the whistle blows and then just stands there with a gran on his face. The Flamers make a lot of noise but nothing else. Love the game Hutton is playing right now. Solid 2nd pairing d-man. 3

Westcoasting
Skating by the Pettersson incident would have been a perfect time to cross check buddy in the mouth and knock out some teeth! But no, let's skate by slowly and check it out and then leave!! Wow

Woooo!

Lindenforpresident
When will huddy learn... He is not Edler!!! His job is to take care of things... He is fortunate to be making the money he does. WAKE UP!!!!!!!!!!! His play this year has been a lot better in my opinion.
Dungass
Anybody else notice Hutty seems to have lost some of his chiselled facial features from training camp, replaced by a bit of a double chin? In my experience, when weight comes off fast, it usually comes back on quickly as well.
Wilbur
Ben Hutton into 116th in all-time Canuck scoring with his assist last night. 115. Gregg Boddy D 273 23 44 67 116. Ben Hutton D 253 11 56 67 117. Loui Eriksson RW 163 29 37

The fact that Green turned this kid as much as he has makes me hesitate on Pouliot. I can see more offence from Hutton in the future. He has a decent enough shot and can move well enough to get into shooting positions. 1

We won't have Edler for ever, and need some mid 20s guys on our back end to lessen the load on Hughes and Juiolevi.

Gaudette Celly
Embedded Youtube: To Nurse, "Shut uuuuuuuup!" When he spoke of how he spent the holidays with Virtanen's family, it's no coincidence that both their games have improved. They've turned the corner from being goofy kids having a good time in the bigs to being serious about their careers and it's definitely showing. Confidence, making better decisions, and being much more consistent. Don't think it's a flash-in-the-pan or contract year bump either, he looks to be here to stay and his (re)-emergence would certainly lessen the blow if Edler were to leave. J.I.A.H.N
I would just like to take a moment to congratulate Ben on his outstanding efforts to improve his game. 28:35 minutes against Washington tonight....outstanding! Could you imagine if he could not handle those minutes! 2
Wilbur
Ben Hutton the meat of a vintage Canuck defenseman sandwich into 116th with his assist tonight. 115. Bob Manno D 163 13 55 68 116. Ben Hutton D 259 11 57 68 117. Gregg Boddy D 273 23 44 67
Maniwaki Canuck
Hutton has become everything we could have hoped for: a 5th round pick home run. He's a solid middle pairing guy who can handle top pair duty. Last night he logged 28+ minutes facing Washington's top lines, steeply tilting the ice our way in the process: what more can you ask? This guy is a core player who's going to ease the load on Edler in his last years and shelter Hughes until he learns the league.
