Draft plus 1 he went back to juniors. Draft plus 2 he got 9 Canuck games then back to junior. Draft plus 3 he played 41 games in the ahl and got 27 games with the nux. Left shot D, 6 foot 2, 199 pounds. Olli left shot D, 6 foot 2, around 200 pounds. Drafted 5th overall. Draft plus 1 back in juniors. Draft plus 2 pro in Finland. Likely to spend time split next year between the ahl and canucks. Very similar trajectory. Would be real special to see Olli have the career that Luc never got to have. GCG. Popular Post Rob_Zepp
He is playing a solid game. He has played a solid tournament. He has a solid first year as a professional. He is simply a solid prospect who will be a solid NHL player and who was a solid pick by the Vancouver Canucks. Not sure what is so hard for people to either understand or accept about that. You need solid players like OJ to win and be the core of your team. Every team in the NHL would want OJ in their system. Period. 2 1 2

Yup, he is responsible for all five players on the ice and tying up two of them while his D partner and winger on that side were having tea somewhere is fully his responsibility too. Look, if you are going to manufacture some negative commentary on him at least pick a play where he wasn't doing his job.

Rush17
i really like how this finnish team plays such a team oriented game. no doubt Sweden has skill but i would bet finland all day with play like this.
Canucks Curse
24 minutes ago, HomeBrew said: Of course he is solid but when u draft top 5 there are expectations on GMs and the players selected. fans want an nhl ready player who can contribute in the draft +1 or +2 years with franchise player potential. Of course all player trajectories are different. Case in point- compare Sean couturier and Mark Scheifle. For many years WPG fans thought Cheveldayoff had crapped the bed on that pick.
