I like your enthusiasm and agree that it should be a treat to watch this trio of Hughes, Petey and the Flow as they develop Chemistry between them next year.

IMO, I do think it is a bit of a stretch for either Juolevi or Woo to make it right out of training camp. I can see Juolevi getting called up from Utica by Christmas and perhaps Woo towards the end of the regular season but that will depend on how well Woo adapts to the rigors of playing in the AHL

I dont think woo can play in the A next year. Could be wrong.

It's almost like it's a valid point!

I get that some people are eager and want him to do well, but patience is a virtue here. Don't have patience? Well, good luck with your future ulcers.

Look...no one wants him playing 25 minutes a game.  The point of bringing him up and burning a year of ELC was for the team and him to get a good idea of where he is at so he can better prepare for next year.  Basically sitting/protecting him in the third of a game that means nothing serves no purpose for him or the team.  Does the team desperately need the points? NO!  Let Hughes play a regular shift in all situations so he and the team know exactly where he is and what he needs to work on.

In your opinion, protecting him serves no purpose, but perhaps there are factors none of us know about. Does Hughes also need to play in all situations to know what to work on? Perhaps just even playing a game shows him that. I even heard on the news how Hughes is right now soaking up information like a sponge and often knowing right away what he did wrong in certain situations.

So I think perhaps you are focused a little too much on his ice time? He'll learn no matter what minutes he's going to get, so why rush him?

Well...I'd post a different opinion but then it wouldn't be mine. There are lots of ways  to approach this and deal with Hughes.  You are obviously 100% satisfied with how he is being handled so far.  I am happy for you.  IMHO allowing Hughes to experience every situation over his very short tenure this year is more valuable than having him sit on the bench "absorbing" how others are playing.

Like I said, I think him just playing is going to help. If he's going to be good anyway, does all of this "micro-managing" of 4 or 6 games really help in the long run?

I'm also glad you are happy for me. It was my lifelong goal for you to be happy for me. I am complete. Thanks.

CDC getting played if people don't have time to log in for period of time?

What an odd fellow (no offense if intended if you are another gender or several) you are.

Cheers and trust me, the last thing I would ever whisper in YOUR ear would be sweet nothings.    :)

Lol, it was a joke... Christ man chill out.

I liked your post, was a compliment! I have problems? LOL. Look in the mirror Mr. Defensive.

The Canucks have a moral obligation to try to win every game, at least until the results don't effect any other teams play off chase.

This will mean not playing raw rookies in situations where another Canuck can do a better job, at that time, in the game.

Hughes looks like the real deal. He just needs to play more and mature. He’s a huge piece we have been missing for years. I’d like to see Hughes on the 1st PP with Elder though and just use 3 forwards.

Oh another thing, Hughes and Stetcher both need to work on their shots in the summer.

Say hi to EDM if you just 'let the kids play',

'like the fans want'.

Y'all need to get over this mental block. This team is not going to just hand kids ANYTHING. Thank Gordie for that.

Disagree with the 3 forwards on PP1.

I'd just like to see Pettersson and Boeser in their spots on the half boards and Bo/Baer in front of the net/goal line. Hughes on the point. I don't think Hughes is a shoot first player, which is good. He just needs to feed the two shooters.

I don't mind Green, but it does frustrate me that he is more of the, "they need to earn their spot", then a "put them in a situation to succeed", type coach.

Hughes seems to be the latest affected by it. I know, it's been 2 games. But this guy is the top-ranking prospect in the NHL right now, and is known by all scouts to be a Powerplay specialist D-man. Yet, he gets less then a minute on the powerplay.

Someone tell Green that we're out of the playoffs, and the people in the stands are wanting to see what Hughes can do. No one wants to see more Ryan Spooner than Quinn Hughes.

There's only 1 way to play and that's to win.

Yes but even if you're playing to win playing Hughes 13 mins in regulation isn't playing to win.

Let's be honest who actually thinks Hughes is walking into the lineup as by far the worst Canucks defenseman and as a result plays by far the least. He's being sheltered for other reasons, not because playing him gives us less of a chance to win.
