Nylander is the odd man and they want compete they will trade him for defencemen Nylander 6 Marner 7 Matthews 8 Tavares 11 there no way you can tie that much up front with there very average defence

The pitch to Tavares was about how good Matthews, Marner and Nylander already are and how young they still are.  They don't plan on trading any of the 3.

Tavares 11

Matthews 11

Marner 7 to 8

Nylander 6 to 7

Or

Stamkos 8.5

Hedman 7.825

Kucherov 9 to 10

Karlsson 9 to 10

Tampa is built to win, Toronto will be entertaining no doubt but they need a stud man. Toronto should be trying to get in on Karlsson too... Start with Nylander, Gardenir, 2019 1st, plus.

Then I guess they can settle for for early playoff exits and drool over Tampa’s success with there defense Corp they ain’t doing much I’d argue ours is better

I totally agree...... that being said I can't even being to imagine the extra premium they would want to trade him to their provincial rivals.  I still remember Gillis turning down a better deal from Edmonton for Schneider, this is that situation times 100.

I've been waiting for 25 years to see a correction for homes in Gr Vancouver. lol! Maybe, it's not going to happen. If I owned a condo, I might be worried.

Further to this, I saw a Burnaby water services foreman this morning. He told me that they are disconnecting 5 properties a day, that works out to approximately 100 or so a month in Burnaby alone. All of these are going to be brand new houses, which will in turn drive up that 1970's bungalows price. It's land, as Duddy Kravitz said, a man is nothing without land.

Yeah, the average price of detached homes will just continue to exponentiate to 2, 3, 5, then 10 million.  No worries, totally sustainable when average family income is $65K or so.

No way Karlsson signs for less than doughty money, even in a low tax state like Florida.  Kucherov I could see creeping above 10 as well if he stays on form - Benn got 9.5 with 89 pts as his best season, Kuch got 100 last year, and benn sgned his contract with a lower cap. Dallas also a low tax state. Yzerman is a wizard though, so you never know.

The only place Toronto has a clear advantage is centre depth ( Stammer/Point are both dope, and on or close to the same tier as Matthews Tavares, but Paquette < Kadri....maybe Miller plays 3C?). Tampa has the much better D, though it'll be interesting what happens when half  their D go UFA next year. They're mostly ocerpaid anyways. If Foote can slot in so they have a top 4 of Hedman/Foote and Sergachev/Karlsson that D becomes monstrous.

Those 65k average income folks aren't the ones buying and/or building those homes. They can't afford to. Drive down the streets in my neighbourhood, and you'll see this first hand. I'm lucky enough to have bought in the mid 70's, and survive those high interest rates, all the while earning about $12 per hour. That wasn't that long ago. To build to own in Burnaby you need well into 6 figure or dual incomes into the 6 figure range. Even then....Therein lies the problem. Hopefully, this $$$$ laundering into the casino's uncovers something.

Why would I wish for a boneheaded deal more than likely benning will do that and keep 50% of Tanevs salary

Just like how he got Dahlen for Burrows, Goldobin and Palmu for Hansen, and Leipsic for Holm, right?
