You have to send the message that Pettersson is untouchable, or teams will target him all year. This isn't just about retribution, it's about protecting the team's most valuable asset. By then the Canucks figured out what happened. Bo had just put the team up by 1. You could see Green talk to some guys on the bench. At that point, he would be culpable for any kind of revenge on the ice. It was too late at that point. Dude is going to be suspended now. Too much hyperbole on this incident.
