jptony604
I for one sure hope something like this never happens on multiple levels. (but it doesn't have to do with the Sedins) I still think it would be best for the Canucks to miss one more year (at least) to build with another 10 top draft pick. (maybe even a lotto) Also trade some of our assets and get more high draft picks. With a playoff run none of that will happen unless management feels that they don't have a chance anyways and sell the farm. (One can dream) With Aqua man yeah right that would happen. But seeing Pettersson on the ice and how well all the young guns are playing... I just don't see us being complete bottom feeders this year. We are wayyyyy to weak on defence and goal is just not even a question. So with that said and we do end up squeezing in do you think the Sedin's pull a Fisher and come out of retirement for a year to help the kids in the playoffs? It can be huge for Pettersson if they do... but would they?

Roberts
I don't know about them playing for the team, but it could really help if they stepped in and helped coach the players in a playoff run.
Coconuts
It won't happen, as much as I miss seeing them on the ice or with the squad it's very clear they're at peace with their decision and are happily enjoying what comes with being retired. Maybe someday they'll join the organization in some capacity be it scouting, coaching or who knows. You might seem em on the ice as friends of the guys, alumni or as part of the organization but it won't be as professional players.

Drive-By Body Pierce
Its why Linden stepped down from his role. He is focusing on training to join the team on the ice come playoff time.

Toyotasfan
No! if we make the playoffs it’s because they retired. With all due respect we crossed that bridge, let’s not go back.
JeremyCuddles
No. They aren’t gonna retire more than once. They are class personified.
AlwaysACanuckFan
Just now, Jimmy McGill said: they could, but they won't. If Canucks do make the playoffs it will be because of the likes of Pettersson Boeser Horvat and allow the kids gain the experience and carry the team through the playoffs. So no! luckylager
Not a chance, not only because they don't want to, there's no way they'd be able to keep up with this team and they're smart enough to see that for themselves. I would absolutely love to see them come back in coaching / development roles though.

Ghostsof1915
They are happy in retirement. The torch is being passed to a new generation of Canucks. Take up our quarrel with the foe:To you from failing hands we throw The torch; be yours to hold it high. Fitting for the 100th anniversary of Armistice of WWI. Tystick
2 hours ago, NHL'er said: / end thread Interesting how he worded that. Seems to suggest that they at least considered the possibility. Also insinuating that they didn't want to leave the team until some players could lead the way. I really wanted them to win a cup but it's interesting that they don't seem to have any desire for one. They keep impressing me even to this day.
