From Edmonton - Jesse Puljujarvi for a 2nd round pick From Edmonton - Lucic and 2nd for Eriksson with 1/2 retention From NYR - Horvat and later pick for #2 overall From Buffalo - Ristolainen for Tanev and Juolevi From Free Agency - Myers at 6 years 7.5 mil Offer sheet Brandon Carlo 3.0 mil for 4 years Wrong player in Tampa offer sheet - Point. These are floating like stuff in sewers out there, not made up. Admit it if some of these happened it would be altering. Horvat's name has been out there for more than a week, Boeser's too. This is what has been speculated as needed to make the deals go The TO stuff because they need to get Marleau's salary off the books for the Marner deal, trade and buyout, the buyout is paid for with the player and possibly even more (backroom deal with SJ) The JP stuff came up last night as Holland might just take a 2nd or even 3rd because of JP's stance and recent surgeries, for the Nucks it is not even as bad as trading a 2nd for Etem or Vey. Lucic and Edmonton 2nd/3rd for Eriksson? Buying a pick for less than 3 mil or a player? Lucic is no worse than Eriksson, Sutter, Beagle, .... and he can be bought out in 2021 Horvat for NYR #1? Horvat is connected to no less than 3 teams includeing trading him for Tyson Barrie, which i find stupid idea but then both the 2019 and 2020 first round picks have been mentioned as possible trade chips older players. All this stuff is out there. Why not come down here and sit and have a coffee where various GM's are? Maybe you should have gone to the Commodore to chat with some of the media guys? D-Money Posted June 21, 2019 Share Posted June 21, 2019 There are only 2 scenarios in which Marleau would accept a trade to Vancouver: 1) Vancouver agrees to immediately buy him out, taking the full cap hit, and allowing him to sign elsewhere. 2) The trade is a 3-way deal with a SoCal team involved, where Vancouver would retain 50% of the salary/cap hit of Marleau, but not receive him (like Vegas did with the Brassard trade to Pittsburgh last year). Do you guys remember when Miller wanted to get closer to Hollywood and signed here? I know Marleau said he only wanted to play for the Leafs or Sharks, but this might be the closest thing he could get. It is probably posturing, just like Edler did. In the end, I think he goes, and my bet is to Colorado, who has tons of cap.....Kapanen will be a nice addition to the Avalanche...…….too bad you guys are so against it. Friggin NO birds!
