Fanuck
Two former first rounders picked two places apart in the draft and end up with the same organization to be unqualified in the same year. Hmmmm. 2
Gaudette Celly
Some have wanted these every time they hit the waiver wire, not realizing they are there for a reason -- namely, they are not NHL-level players.

Hmmmm. Interesting when you think how crazy everybody is going that we gave up a 1st rounder. 1 1 12

I think the idea is to have more confidence in your team's scouting so that first rounders (start or end of the round) turn into solid contributors. Remember when our waiver wire players were the most coveted in the league and how every team was dying to trade picks for them to us, but Benning said no thanks to the picks supposedly? 5
Analyst82
Lazar was always appealing to me. I would take a swing at him. Worst case he ends up 9n in Utica

What do you mean, every Canuck is the most coveted in the league - have you seen the trade proposals forum, we can get first rounders for Sutter, Edler, Tanev, ect....lol. 1
Nuxfanabroad
They touted 2013 like a grand bazaar in the Taj Mahal..now looks like an iffy flea market held in a circus tent. MacK, Jones & Bo.. & we nabbed one of'em! 1

I get it. I do too. i just marvel at how everybody is losing their $&!# over giving up potential maybe 4 years from now that might be nothing. They all say that Jim's teams lose so he is a failure, but then he brings in a serious player to help them win and he is an idiot for not waiting over 4 years for a lottery ticket. 2

Zhukini
Lazar is just the guy who ate the cheeseburger off the ice. He can't skate, I think he signs in Switzerland this year.

Benning the idiot could have easily got a 2nd for Corrado, then we could have picked Shea Weber. 4
